Matthew Ashford And Melissa Reeves Back Filming At DAYS!
Matthew Ashford (Jack) and Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) are back again to film their iconic roles on Days of Our Lives. Casey Moss, who plays the duo’s on-screen son, JJ, shared a photo of himself with his Salem parents in his Instagram stories, writing, “Couldn’t be more grateful to be part of such a legendary family. #thehortons Happy 60th Days family.”
Time To Celebrate
The two are back on the Burbank-based set for a very special reason: a spokesperson for the show has confirmed to Digest that their return is in conjunction with DAYS’s upcoming 60th anniversary. Because the show shoots so far ahead, the episodes airing around the milestone birthday are being filmed now. Not only that, but cast members also gathered for a special photo shoot commemorating the anniversary.
The last time Reeves and Ashford were seen on DAYS as their supercouple counterparts in Salem was toward the end of last year, when they returned for the holiday season in Salem. Sadly, Jack went to get Doug (the late Bill Hayes) and found that the patriarch had passed away in his bed. Jack and Jennifer stuck around for the tribute to Doug. Jennifer was also put on notice by Hope to keep an eye on new arrival Doug III. When Alice’s necklace disappeared from the time capsule it was discovered in, both Hope and Jennifer rightfully suspected that the young man was the culprit, though it has yet to be proven on-screen.
When the two actors returned for that last stint, Moss told Digest, “I was so happy to see them… It’s like I got to see my family again.”
Ashford and Reeves won’t be the only big-name stars returning to the show over the course of the year as DAYS builds to its big anniversary. Last year, the show confirmed Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady), Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady) and Peter Reckell (Bo Brady), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady Reed), Leann Hunley (Anna DiMera), Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady Weston), Chandler Massey (Will Horton), Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera), and Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan) would all be making Salem comebacks in 2025.
