How to Watch the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards
Every year, soap fans tune in to watch the Daytime Emmy Awards to see if their favorites will take home the golden trophy. In 2025, the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmys are being held on Friday, October 17, in Pasadena, CA. This year, however, the ceremony celebrating the best in daytime programming — including the four eligible soaps, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, Young and Restless, and Bold and Beautiful — will not be airing on either network or cable television.
Where To Watch?
Soap Opera Network was the first to report that the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, with the ceremony live-streaming beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Because this year there is no separate ceremony for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, all of the categories will be included in the one show, which is expected to run for three hours.
Viewers will be able to tune into the Emmy ceremony via the official watch.theemmys.tv website or by streaming the show on The Emmys app, which is available on numerous devices, including iPhone, Android, Roku, and Fire TV. Downloading The Emmys app to your smart TV will allow you to stream the 2025 Daytime Emmys live as they happen, no television provider required. And following the stream, the 2025 ceremony will be archived on the website and app so fans who weren’t able to see it live can still watch. The website also hosts past Emmy ceremonies, winners’ interviews, backstage peeks, and more.
Recent Daytime Emmy ceremonies were broadcast by CBS after the show returned to network television in 2020. In the past, it has also aired on The CW and cable networks like HLN and Pop. The last time that the ceremony was only streamed online, with no television partner, was back in 2019.
The full list of Daytime Emmy Award nominees was announced back in July, and award-winning journalist Deborah Norville will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award during this year’s ceremony. At this time, there has been no announcement as to who will be hosting the show.
