Comments

Daniel Cosgrove is set to appear live on The Locher Room on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT to discuss his return to daytime and more on the fifth year anniversary of the podcast. He recently made his debut on General Hospital as Ezra Boyle, a sly new politician in Port Charles who immediately butted heads with Tracy Quartermaine.

Looking Back

The veteran actor has a long career in soaps, beginning with his role as Scott Chandler on All My Children (1996-98; 2010-11). He went on to play Bill Lewis on Guiding Light (2002-05; 2007-09) and also appeared as Christopher Hughes on As the World Turns (2010). His last daytime stint was as Aiden Jennings on Days of Our Lives (2014-15; 2016).

Cosgrove made the foray into prime-time when he was cast as Matt Durning on Beverly Hill, 90210 in 1998. He remained with the popular series until it ended in 2000. Among his other career highlights, he also starred as Ron in the first season of Lifetime’s YOU in 2018 and has made numerous guest spots on acclaimed series such as Bull, Billions, Blue Bloods.

In recent years, Cosgrove had turned his attention to professional endeavors outside the acting realm. However, he told TV Insider that working on GH has “reignited something in me, such an appreciation and such an excitement and a love” for performing.

The ABC soap also reunites Cosgrove with Cameron Mathison, who portrays newly elected congressman Drew Quartermaine. The two actors previously worked together on AMC where Mathison played Ryan Lavery from 1998 to 2011. In fact the pair has already crossed paths due to their characters’ similar political agendas.

Set your reminders and tune in for an evening filled with laughter and nostalgia, as Cosgrove shares behind-the-scenes stories, insights and more about his long career when he helps host Alan Locher celebrate five years of The Locher Room.
