Summary
With a career in daytime television that has spanned over 30 years, Janet Di Lauro was the West Coast Editor of Soap Opera Weekly magazine from the publication’s debut in 1989 through 2010, before beginning her tenure as a contributing writer at Soap Opera Digest in 2016. She was also the DAYS OF OUR LIVES entertainment guide at About.com from 2011-16, and was a contributing writer on People magazine’s collector’s edition bookazines: a 50th anniversary special on DAYS and a 30th anniversary special on B&B. Over the years, she has interviewed daytime’s biggest stars from DAYS’s Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn (Marlena and John) to AMC’s Susan Lucci (Erica), GH’s Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Y&R’s Eric Braeden (Victor), as well as appeared as a guest commentator on INSIDE EDITION and SOAP TALK. In addition to her work in daytime, Janet, who graduated from Seton Hall University with BA in Communications, also served as a contributing editor on the tween publication Pixie, was a guest commentator on Inside Edition and SOAP TALK, and has been a contributing writer at Cynopsis.com since 2013.
