GH’S BILLY MILLER SUPPORTS CAUSE CLOSE TO HIS HEART
GH's Billy Miller (Jason) has mounted a GoFund Me campaign to support his inspirational young niece, Savannah Strain, a member of the Benton Louisiana Tigers Archery Team, which just made the National Archery School Program National Competition. What makes Savannah's achievement all the more remarkable is that she was born without a left hand due to a congenital abnormality. When Savannah expressed an interest in the sport, Miller writes, "At first we were worried that she would be disappointed that she could not effectively use a bow and arrow. As it turned out, she proved us all wrong and not only did Savannah overcome her perceived physical limitation, but she quickly excelled in the sport by using her own flair and ingenuity." The team needs to raise $15,000 to participate in the competition. "My goal here is not only to fund this team, but to help Savannah realize just how special she truly is," says her proud uncle on his fundraising page.
