General Hospital: Ryan Paevey’s Great American Family Movie Gets Christmas 2026 Release
During Ryan Paevey‘s (Cassius) first stint on General Hospital, playing Nathan West from 2013-18, the actor began starring in movies for the Hallmark Channel and ultimately appeared in a over a dozen projects for the network. Now, the GH star is returning to his TV movie roots with a new holiday-themed film, Christmas at Moose Lake, this time for Great American Family.
Christmas Comes Early
The network made the news official on its Instagram account, cheering, “We’re welcoming Ryan Paevey to the Great American Media family!🎉 He’ll star in his first Great American original movie, ‘Christmas at Moose Lake,’ alongside Britt Robertson, Kevin Dillon, and Natasha Henstridge—coming to Great American Christmas 2026!🎄✨”
Christmas at Moose Lake was filmed in Somerset, Kentucky and stars Britt Robertson as Alyssa Dawson, a newly single professional living in New York who travels to her family’s lake house for the holidays and strikes up a romance with Sean, played by Paevey. Kevin Dillon plays her father, and Natasha Henstridge plays his love interest. According to a network press release, “Alyssa must reconcile the past with the promise of what lies ahead. When she reconnects with Sean – a thoughtful visitor with a meaningful connection to her history – a misplaced engagement ring sets off a heartfelt journey that leads Alyssa back to what matters most: love, belonging, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.”
Bill Abbott, Great American Media’s president and CEO, said in a statement, “Welcoming Ryan Paevey to Great American Christmas is especially exciting – Ryan and I have a long-shared history of making audience-favorite films, and I know first-hand the warmth and authenticity he brings to each role.” Abbott previously served as President and CEO of Crown Media Family Networks, the parent company of the Hallmark Channel.
