General Hospital Recap: Valentin Says Goodbye as Ethan Tampers With His DNA Sample
On General Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) shared an emotional farewell with Carly (Laura Wright) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) arrived at Carly’s to search for the fugitive, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout (temporarily played by Reagan Park) were worried that her injury would give Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) ammunition against them, Ethan (Nathan Dean) faked his DNA test, Tracy (Jane Elliot) confronted Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) talked some sense into Chase (Josh Swickard), and Lulu (Alexa Havins) was put in the hot seat. Here’s how it all went down.
Scare Tactic
Cullum invited Lulu to Wyndemere and was irritated when she showed up with Ethan as “protection.” The WSB director then prodded Lulu about Rocco, claiming that he wanted to thank the teen for the kindness Rocco had shown as a volunteer during Cullum’s hospital stay. Realizing that Cullum was fishing for information, Ethan and Lulu fibbed that Rocco was out of town visiting family for the summer. Cullum made it a point to grasp Lulu’s hand extra firmly as she said good-bye, leaving her rattled.

Until Next Time
As Valentin and Carly basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking, they acknowledged that their relationship had taken them both by surprise. He reassured her that he had a “better than even” shot at surviving once he showed up at WSB headquarters and that if all went to plan, the WSB would stop Sidwell and Cullum and safely recover Josslyn. Grateful for the risk he was taking to save her daughter, Carly resolved that he would get to say goodbye to his.
Carly then brought Charlotte over to the house. Father and daughter shared an emotional and tear-filled farewell after Valentin explained that once he turned himself in at the WSB headquarters, he’d likely be sent back to Steinmauer.

Later, Cullum stormed into Carly’s kitchen with two other WSB agents in tow. He announced to Carly and Charlotte that he had a search warrant to look for Valentin, but they ultimately left after finding no trace of the fugitive. Once they were alone again, Charlotte asked Carly if the search for her father was over, but Carly sighed that she didn’t think the end was even close.
Ankle Monitor
Danny brought Scout to G.H. after she sprained her ankle while attempting to pull a prank she’d seen him perform. Molly met her niece and nephew there, and as Elizabeth tended to Scout’s sprain, Willow and Drew showed up for his neurology appointment.
Molly confided to Elizabeth that she was worried that Scout’s injury would reignite Drew’s hatred of Danny and prompt Willow to enforce the restraining order against him, since it had never been officially lifted. Scout apologized for possibly getting Danny in trouble with her dad, and the siblings discussed how much they’d hated being separated.

Meanwhile, Willow panicked when Felicia informed her that she’d procured the devices to help Drew communicate, though she pretended to be grateful for Felicia’s efforts. Once Drew returned from his meeting with the doctor, Felicia relayed the news to him about the special equipment. Drew blinked once to convey he was happy he could soon communicate better, then fixed Willow with an intense gaze.
While Drew was at physical therapy, Willow ran into Scout, Danny, and Molly. Scout admitted to Willow that she was afraid she’d gotten Danny in trouble with her father. Willow assured her stepdaughter that the most important thing was that Scout was happy and surrounded by people who loved her — and that included Danny, her grandmother, and her aunts.

Swap Meet
Ethan had a warm reunion with Elizabeth when he showed up at the hospital for his DNA test. She assured him that she respected his privacy and didn’t need an explanation for why he needed to give a DNA sample. After she took a swab of his cheek, she stepped out to check on another patient and left the sample behind. Ethan swiftly pocketed his own DNA sample and swapped it with the one he’d lifted from the PCPD evidence room.

Fake It ‘Til You Make It
Tracking Chase down at the boathouse, Dante tried to talk some sense into him — as family members, and not commissioner to officer — about how he’d overreacted by arresting Tracy and hurt Brook Lynn in the process. Meanwhile, Tracy confronted her granddaughter in the kitchen, sharing her fear that Brook Lynn was stifling who she really was to fit into Chase’s mold of the perfect wife. When Brook Lynn got offended that Tracy didn’t trust her to do the right thing for herself, Tracy apologized for inserting herself into her granddaughter’s marriage. The conversation left Brook Lynn more resolved than ever to do what she needed to get Chase to see Willow’s true colors.

Returning to the main house, Chase confided to his wife that Dante had made him realize that he’d arrested Tracy unnecessarily. Then, when Chase gushed that they were lucky Willow had dropped the charges and was helping them get the family of their dreams, Brook Lynn pretended to be just as happy for Willow’s help. But as the couple hugged, she dropped the façade and professed that she’d do anything to protect their family.
Meeting up with Dante at the boathouse, Lulu told him that Cullum had invited her to Wyndemere to question her about Rocco. Dante deduced that Cullum must know Rocco and Britt were together, but had no direct leads on where the two had gone. He thanked Lulu for being upfront with him about her visit to Wyndemere, considering their pact to work together to find their son.
