General Hospital Recap: Joss Sees Britt, Willow Slaps Lucas and Drew Wants Danny Arrested!

Comments

On the August 12 episode of General Hospital, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) couldn’t believe her eyes when she spotted a supposedly dead Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Lucas (Van Hansis) had a huge blowout, Drew (Cameron Mathison) demanded that Chase (Josh Swickard) arrest Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) for kidnapping, and so much more!

Dog Day Afternoon

At the Metro Court pool, Rocco offered to help Gio find a new home for Outback when Liesl arrived and fawned over the puppy. Rocco suggested she adopt the dog, but she couldn’t have a pet while staying at the hotel. Spotting the group from across the deck, Lulu  stormed out and went downstairs to the restaurant, where she demanded that Carly come up with something creative to evict Obrecht from the premises.

On the other side of the pool, Emma confronted Anna about having Professor Dalton’s lecture canceled. Stunned that her granddaughter was trying to do the same thing at PCU that she was expelled for at Berkeley, Anna didn’t understand why Emma couldn’t comprehend that her actions could have serious consequences on her future. Emma, however, felt disappointed that the person she looked up to the most was the one standing in her way of trying to do the right thing. “I am literally protecting you from yourself,” Anna claimed.

Later, Emma told Gio that, even though Anna was on to her, she still planned to bring down Dalton. Pointing out that Anna was both the police commissioner and a former spy, Gio called game over, warning his friend that her grandmother would be watching her like a hawk. Cracking a smile, Emma announced that it was merely a time-out. For the next few weeks, she’d walk the straight and narrow, but once Anna’s guard was down, she was going after Dalton harder than ever. “My grandma’s a setback,” Emma professed. “She’s not going to stop me from finding out what I need to take that guy down.”

Returning to the pool level, Lulu commiserated with Anna over the difficulty of raising challenging teens, then watched with a smug smile as Rocco informed Obrecht that there was an issue with charging her order to her room. Once Obrecht left, Rocco brought Outback over to his mom and asked Lulu if they could adopt the dog. At first, Lulu claimed having a pet was too much of a responsibility, but she changed her tune after Rocco said the closest he’d come to finding Outback a new home was with Dr. Obrecht. Rocco was overjoyed when Lulu said they could keep Outback and he excitedly hugged his mom.

Break the Mold

Alexis met with Marco at the Metro Court restaurant, seeking out his impartial advice about how Drew’s recent string of scandals was affecting Scout. Marco agreed with Molly’s assessment that Alexis might have a case for temporary custody of her granddaughter, but she worried that Drew would retaliate and come after her.

Once Alexis left, Carly approached Marco, wanting to make sure that he didn’t make her brother pick sides between Sidwell and Sonny. When Carly declared that she didn’t want his dating Lucas to complicate her brother’s life, Marco volleyed back that perhaps she thought them dating would complicate her life. They agreed that neither of them wanted to see Lucas get hurt, and Carly shared that she was willing to risk Lucas being mad at her for meddling and asked Marco to break things off if he wasn’t as into the relationship as Lucas was. “Understood,” Marco said with a nod of his head before exiting the restaurant.

Upon learning from the front desk that she was being removed from her room due to toxic mold, Obrecht tracked down Carly in the restaurant and revealed that she knew exactly who was behind her eviction. “That’s quite the story,” Liesl mused. “One I’ll be sure to tell Rocco. Specifically, the part where his mother orchestrated the whole thing to keep us apart.”

Missing Person

Danny visited Scout at Lila’s Kids camp during her snack break, then brought his little sister back to the Quartermaine mansion after Scout begged him to see the family. Jason knew he had to call Drew since Danny took her away without permission, but Scout panicked because she knew her father would make her go back, and she didn’t want to leave.

Drew was greeted with an icy response when he approached Willow at the hospital while she was working. Stepping in, Lucas suggested the congressman leave and find a time to speak with Nurse Tait when she wasn’t on duty, but Drew bit back, wondering if policing the nurses’ station was part of his job description. Lucas left the two alone after Willow insisted that she could handle Drew on her own, and she barely gave Drew a chance to speak before telling him to leave. Standing her ground, Willow noted that she didn’t want to give anyone any ammunition to use against her in her visitation hearing. Over Drew’s pleas that he only wanted to help her get her kids back, Willow spat, “You are the reason I lost them. I don’t want or need your help.” He further tried to convince Willow to let him help her, but then received a call from Lila’s Kids that Scout was missing. A concerned Lucas watched from afar as Willow reassured Drew that children wander off all the time and there may be a logical explanation.

Arrested Development

Alexis arrived at the Qs, having been summoned by Jason, and was surprised to see Scout there. While Danny took his sister to the stables to see Hades, Jason filled in Alexis on what had happened, and the two discussed how much Scout missed Sam and her extended family. Once the kids returned, Jason took Danny out of the living room so Alexis could speak with Scout privately. Upon hearing that Drew’s “work stuff” always got in the way of him taking her to visit with Danny, Rocco, and Grandma Monica, Alexis volunteered to speak with Scout’s dad about letting her spend more time with the rest of her family.

Out in the foyer, Jason scolded Danny for taking Scout out of camp, but the teen argued that his mom would have wanted him to take care of his little sister, who was lonely in a house with a nanny and missing everyone else. Just then, Drew burst through the door with Chase in tow, demanding to see Scout since two of her friends at camp saw her ride off with Danny. Spotting Alexis there as well, Drew snidely remarked that it was a family reunion and ordered Scout to go meet her nanny at the car. He ignored Alexis’s offer to drive Scout home and brushed off his daughter when Scout got upset that she had yet to see Monica. Crestfallen, Scout went to the car, and Drew barely withheld his anger when Danny and Alexis questioned why he wouldn’t just let Scout stay for a visit.

Because Scout’s well-being was all he cared about, an eerily calm Drew stated, he sent her to the car so she wouldn’t see what was about to happen. “Is this the part where you have me arrested?” a frustrated Jason asked his twin. “No,” Drew replied with a shake of his head. He then commanded Chase to arrest Danny for kidnapping!

Ghost Story

Having slept the morning away, Joss awoke in the suite she and Vaughn were sharing at the Five Poppies to room service being delivered — and an overly romantic Vaughan, who was putting on a show of being a newlywed for the employee’s benefit. After the staffer left, the WSB agents munched on breakfast as they discussed where to begin their recon mission at the resort. Suggesting they divide and conquer, Joss told Vaughn to walk the grounds while she inspected the facilities, starting at the spa. Once changed into her bathing suit, Joss prepared to leave the suite, but glancing back at the bed she was sharing with Vaughan, she flashed back to some of her charged interactions with her handsome handler/fake husband.

Out by the resort’s pool, Britt was on her phone looking at photos of Rocco on Liesl’s MyFace profile when Pascal approached. He commended her for the impressive work she’d done that morning while being focused — and not distracted — and noted that the mysterious “he” she was working for would be pleased.

Later, Britt was enjoying a drink when Vaughan, who introduced himself as Chris Nash, struck up a conversation. Piqued by Britt’s admission that she was a resident of the resort, Vaughn pretended that he was interested in buying a property there and flirtatiously asked her to show him around. Drawing attention to his wedding ring, Britt asked “Chris” if he was happily married.

“Chris” joked that since he was on his honeymoon, it was too soon to tell if he was happy. He assured Britt that he was crazy about his wife. Britt wondered what his spouse would think about him chatting with another woman just as Josslyn arrived at the pool’s entryway and spotted the two. Since the woman’s back was to her, Joss had no idea who the woman was at first. But when she turned around so “Chris” could spray sunscreen on her, Josslyn was shocked to realize it was Britt!

Nothing But The Hits

Back in the G.H. break room, Willow thanked Lucas for his help with Drew earlier. The tension was thick between them, especially when Lucas gave her some tough love about how being seen talking with her ex made her seem pathetic. Willow accused him of policing her so he could report back to Michael and Carly. Lucas replied that he was only trying to repay the gift she’d given to him and Brad years ago by entrusting them to raise her son. While he doesn’t have blinders on when it comes to his sister and nephew, Lucas added, he thought they were in the right by keeping the kids, and dragging everyone back to court was unnecessary. Willow tried to defend her actions, but Lucas insisted that her judgment is off, and saying that she had been putting her own wants and needs above the kids. Even worse, Lucas claimed, watching her interact with Drew earlier was like watching an addict with their drug of choice, and her addiction was Drew.

Their argument escalated, with Willow declaring that she now sees Drew for exactly who he is, and Lucas proclaiming that her “mess” has spilled over to the hospital, with Stella, Elizabeth, and Deanna agreeing to testify on her behalf while she refused to do the bare minimum and stay away from Drew. The final straw for Willow came when Lucas suggested that if she kept engaging with her ex, people were going to start thinking that she cared more about Drew than her children. “Apparently, some people already do,” Willow spewed. “Yeah, well, at least I’m saying it to your face,” Lucas barked back. Fuming, Willow hissed, “How dare you!” With that, she slapped him.
