General Hospital Recap: Brook Lynn Gets Her Hands On Rocco’s Birth Certificate!
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) inched one step closer to getting revenge on Lulu (Alexa Havins) when she got her hands on Rocco’s original birth certificate on the June 25 episode of General Hospital. She also had a heart-to-heart with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) about how they could get through to their son, Gio (Giovanni Mazza), who had his hands full at the Metro Court as Danny and Rocco began their own summer jobs there. Read on to find out how it all went down!
A Mom-entous First Day

It was Danny and Rocco’s first day working as pool attendants at the Metro Court, and lifeguard Gio explained what they’d have to do to take care of guests. Rocco, who was put on towel duty, grumbled to Danny that his mom had taken a picture of him that morning like it was his first day of school. A sad look briefly crossed Danny’s face, since his mother was no longer alive to take any photos of him. Danny then made his rounds filling cups with ice water, and one of the guests sitting on a lounger turned out to be Lulu, who waved at her son across the pool, mildly embarrassing Rocco in front of his half brother.
Storming over to his mom, Rocco demanded to know why she was there. “Just another guest. Ignore me,” Lulu chirped. Aggravated that his mother was there to check up on him, Rocco declared there was no way he could pretend she was not there. “Have you tried ignoring you?” he spat out as Danny quickly excused himself from the awkward situation. Lulu shot up from the lounger to fix Rocco’s uniform and hair and asked if he’d remembered his social security number and if he’d thanked Carly for the opportunity. The teen rolled his eyes throughout his mother’s coddling, especially when Lulu gushed that he looked “so handsome” in his Metro Court polo shirt.

Lulu’s helicopter parenting was not lost on Rocco’s friend. “Rocco is so embarrassed,” Danny chuckled to Gio. “I don’t know why I think it’s so funny. If my mom were here, she’d… ” Danny then trailed off, his demeanor instantly changing as he was hit with a pang of grief. “She’d be doing the same thing,” he continued with a gulp. Recognizing Danny’s pain, Gio quietly shared that his late mother would have, too.
Later, Lulu checked in with Gio to see how the boys were doing. “They’ll get the hang of it,” he assured her, just as Rocco knocked over a cup. “Eventually,” he added with a grin. However, Gio’s jovial disposition soured when Lulu questioned how he was doing. “I’m just fine,” he insisted stoically.
Lulu got company when Tracy arrived. Tracy reminded her former stepdaughter that there was a pool at the Quartermaine house where she wouldn’t have to “baste” among strangers. But the Q pool does not employ Rocco, countered Lulu, adding that she expected Tracy to tip the teen well since it was his first day. “I think it’s cute that you’re spying on your son,” Tracy teased, only to be met with indignant denial from Lulu that that was not what she was doing.

When Gio gently instructed the newbies that they could not reuse towels — even if barely used — amongst guests, Lulu took notice of his interaction with the younger boys. “Look at them. Gio would have this big brother thing down if he’d give it a chance,” she told Tracy. In response, Tracy noted that at least the boys were getting along; by contrast, Gio was still very angry with Brook Lynn.
As he wrapped up his first day as a pool attendant, Rocco checked in once more with his mom and Tracy. While his mom praised him for his excellent service, Tracy groused that it was just “fine” — but stuck to the promise she’d made Lulu and tipped the teen. Once dismissed by Gio, Rocco and Danny joked about pushing one another into the pool to cool off after a hot day in the sun when Tracy interrupted their banter with a sharp whistle and announced that she’d drive them back to the Q estate.

Meanwhile, at the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn held the file on Rocco (and Britt’s role in his unusual birth) as she met with Marco. “You tracked it down?” she questioned, breathing a sigh of relief when the attorney handed over the boy’s original birth certificate for Benjamin Westbourne, with Britta Westbourne listed as the mother and a blank spot for the father’s name. Seven months later, Marco pointed out as he presented Brook Lynn with a second birth certificate, the boy’s name was changed to Rocco Falconeri, with Lesley Lu Spencer and Dante Falconeri listed as the parents. Reading over the amended document, Brook Lynn smiled to herself. Just then, Dante entered the sitting room.
Covering the real reason for her business with Marco in front of Dante, Brook Lynn informed the lawyer that she’d be in touch once she’d made a decision. After Marco exited, Brook Lynn and Dante’s conversation turned once again to Gio — and to Brook Lynn hiding her pregnancy from Dante, and inducing Chase to lie to him about it, too. Though still ticked that he’d been kept in the dark for so many years, Dante shared that when Anna locked him and Chase together in a jail cell to hash things out, he realized that his anger wasn’t getting him anywhere. The only way to get through to Gio is to work together as his parents, Dante suggested. “I’m not ready to forgive Chase, and I’m not ready to forgive you,” he stated. “But my anger over the past… I don’t want that to prevent me from having a relationship with Gio now.”

Presenting A United Front
Agreeing that she wanted the same, Brook Lynn apologized for being the reason Gio was mad at Dante to begin with. Dante shared that he regretted coming down so hard on Gio the night that Rocco got drunk, believing that had made it even harder for their son to trust him now. Brook Lynn suggested they give Gio space, and hopefully he’d eventually come around. “Once he’s ready to listen, we can prove that we want a relationship with him,” she remarked. “Both one-on-one and also as his parents.”
However, Dante worried that Gio might never reach out to them and felt they needed to do something to show their son how much he meant to them. Brook Lynn warned that they couldn’t force their adult son to have a relationship with them and claimed that the hope that Gio would come around one day was the only thing keeping her going. She was confident that between her, Tracy, Dante, and Olivia, they’d get through to Gio. “That is a really tough group to ignore forever,” Dante acknowledged with a slight smile before agreeing to be patient.
Band of Brothers
Following his conversation with Brook Lynn, Dante headed over to the Metro Court, hoping to catch Rocco at work, but Lulu told him that their son’s shift was over. Spotting Gio, Dante carefully approached his older son and asked if they could speak. A tense expression took over Gio’s face.

Meanwhile, back at the Quartermaine house, Brook Lynn was comparing Rocco’s two birth certificates side by side when Rocco and Danny arrived home from work. Her quick shuffling of the documents into a folder prompted Rocco to apologize for the interruption. “Sorry for just busting in like that. Are you working?” Dante’s son innocently asked. “Um, yeah,” Brook Lynn replied, choosing her next words carefully. “I am busy with a very important project.”
