My Favorite Things – Anthony Montgomery

Favorite Shampoo: Either Dove Hair Therapy or Cantu for Natural Hair (which I actually use on my son’s hair, but I use it because I like the smell).

Favorite Jeans Brand: Alberto pants are incredibly comfortable. They’re a European pant, but there’s an excellent company in New York on 57th Street called Schuyler 4 Ltd. that’s the exclusive US distributor.

Favorite Phone App: SkyView. My son and I love to use it to look at the stars, constellations and planets.

Favorite Type Of Cuisine: Although I’m a “meat and potatoes” type of guy, I love trying all types of food. I’ve tried puffin in Iceland, alligator in Florida, and something I forgot how to pronounce in Borneo.

Favorite Sports Team: Chicago Bulls, Indianapolis Colts. Yes, I know both of my teams are struggling. I’m not about bandwagons. I support my squads when we’re down. We’ll get there! Da Bulls! Go Colts!

Favorite Breakfast Item: I’m always looking for good French toast. I’ve been making it since I was a kid and I can’t really find anybody who makes it like home.

Favorite Coffee Drink: I drank coffee once when I worked the graveyard shift while I was in college and it made my body feel weird. I never drank it again.

Favorite Adult Beverage: The best drink to make a toast with, a chilled shot of Patrón Tequila.

Favorite Sweet Treat: I have an incorrigible sweet tooth. I love all strawberry candy, and Hershey’s chocolate (but I don’t like dark chocolate).

Favorite Healthy Snack: I’ve been eating a lot of trail mix lately. [WildRoots’s] Coastal Berry (one that I found at Costco) is really good. And after a good workout, I like the Gatorade Whey Protein Bars. Twenty grams of protein and they taste good.

Favorite Color: I’ve loved blue for as long as I can remember.

Favorite Magazine: I don’t really have a favorite. I have a lot of interests, so I get a lot of different subscriptions, including People, Time, Entertainment Weekly, Animation Magazine, Travel+Leisure, Sports Illustrated and Fortune.

Favorite Book: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It’s a wonderful and profound story with a message that speaks to everyone. I love it.

Favorite Item In Your Wardrobe: A black Haupt blazer. I love how comfortable it is and I can dress it down with jeans or dress it up with slacks.

Favorite Room In Your Home: I have to go with my bedroom — for work or play.

Favorite Sitcom: I think BLACK-ISH is brilliant. The messages are poignant and relevant and I love every actor on the show, especially Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson. So much fun to watch!

Favorite Prime-Time Drama: ONCE UPON A TIME, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., SCANDAL and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER.

Favorite TV Host: Drew Carey and Steve Harvey are hilarious, but my all-time favorites would have to be Alex Trebek, Pat Sajak and Bob Barker.

Favorite Comedian: I did stand-up for awhile and I know how hard it is. To me, one of the funniest people in the world is Eddie Murphy.

Favorite Singer Or Band: The Beatles, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Jay Z, Common, Pitbull, Outkast, Harry Connick, Jr., Prince, George Michael, Counting Crows, Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Mozart, Beethoven.

Favorite Place To Learn Lines: On my couch when I’m first learning them, then in the shower after I’ve gotten them down.

Favorite Kitchen Appliance: My Ninja blender. That thing is serious!

Favorite Vacation Spot: Turks and Caicos. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the world. After relaxing on the beach most of the time, or scuba diving in the piercing blue water, I had so much fun and was so relaxed that I even did a circus school and flew on a flying trapeze.
