Praying for their men in church, Belle and Mimi meet Eileen, a woman whose husband is also off at war. Belle tells the woman her boyfriend is there, too. “So is her husband,” chimes in Mimi, baffling Eileen. The trio chat about how proud they are of the brave soldiers in their lives. Mimi asks Belle what she would do if Shawn doesn’t make it home. Would Belle stay with Philip? Sugary sweet Belle can’t even think about that scenario. All she can do is pray that EVERYONE makes it back to Salem, safely.

Tony arrives at the bunker wearing a snazzy red beret, and Sami yells at him for dragging her “to this hellhole.” Tony says Sami came there of her own volition, just like she turned up at Brandon’s hotel room the night before her wedding. Tony brags about knowing EVERYTHING that goes on in Salem. Sami says she’ll only keep working for Tony if Philip is treated right. Tony relents, ordering the guards to give Philip food and water. Now all Sami has to do is everything Tony instructs her to do and he’ll help her get revenge on all her enemies and reunite with her parents. When Sami asks for proof that her parents are alive, Tony treats her to a recent video of Marlena and Roman feasting on Kung Pao Chicken. Tony tells Sami that the sooner she finishes her job, the sooner she’ll be reunited with her parents. Then, Tony hands Sami a gun and gives her a cover story, so that she can infiltrate the Fearless Foursome.

While waiting for Brady to return to their camp, Lucas squashes a scorpion that’s about to sting Shawn. Rex starts spewing statistics about how most scorpions aren’t lethal to adults and chastises Lucas for possibly killing an innocent one. Shawn and Lucas look at him like, Are you for real? Somehow the scorpion incident leads into a talk about women. Lucas says Rex and Shawn are lucky, because they have Mimi and Belle waiting for them in Salem. Rex tries to talk Lucas into forgiving Sami when they get back home. He can tell Lucas still loves Sami. But Lucas remains obstinate, unable to get past Sami shacking up with Brandon the night before their wedding. Lucas heads outside on patrol, when Shawn and Rex see someone approaching their camp. They draw their guns and yell, “Freeze! Put your hands up.”

Roman tells Marlena that they shouldn’t breathe a word about their sexcapades in the castle to John and Kate. It would only hurt them. Besides there’s no way their secret could ever come out, since Tony’s “dead.” Yet, when John and Kate return from packing her belongings, Marlena is ready to spill the beans. Fortunately, she’s interrupted when Grandpa Shawn arrives with Will. Shawn’s thrilled to see Roman and “his precious daughter-in-law” Marlena alive. (Where has he been the last 10 years?) “Uh, Pop. Marlena is married to John. I’m married to Kate,” corrects Roman. Then, Roman breaks the news that Caroline and Victor “died,” again. This time, in the castle fire. Marlena tries to comfort Will, who’s still upset over Sami and Lucas’s wedding that wasn’t. Will admits he’s angry his mom messed up his dreams of a happy family, but he still loves her and is worried about Sami. After all, Sami’s been gone a long time. Although Kate tries — well, not really that hard — she can’t hide her delight that Sami’s out of the picture. Finally, Shawn and Will leave, and John and Marlena prepare to be alone. John pulls Marlena into an embrace, as she locks eyes with Roman across the room. Poor Marlena can’t fight the guilt of keeping her affair with Roman from her husband.

Hope gets over her furor of seeing a naked Bo straddling Billie in the pit, when she smells gas. She tells Patrick they have to save them. Patrick heads down into the pit, where Bo and Billie are unconscious. He tosses the makeshift rope Bo made up to Hope, and she ties it to the radiator. Patrick takes off his shirt for some inexplicable reason. (Maybe because Bo and Billie are half naked?) Then, he helps Billie up to safety. Hope scolds Billie for leading her husband on another wild goose chase, when Patrick calls out to them. He can’t get a pulse fromo Bo. To inspire Bo to breathe, Patrick says he’s going to give him mouth-to-mouth. On cue, Bo wakes up. “Yeah. I thought that might do the trick,” cracks Patrick. Bo heads up the rope, and Hope tends to him. Bo tells Hope he’s glad she’s okay. He didn’t think “they’d” make it out of there. Hope puts two and two together and realizes Bo was hallucinating in the pit and believed he was making love to her. Meanwhile, Billie did nothing to stop it. Hope confronts Billie with the truth, by socking her right in the jaw!Thursday, May 5, 2005
Marlena asked why Belle didn’t stay with John at the airport. Kate admitted that Belle and Mimi were mad at her for not telling them about the Philip rescue plan. Marlena and Roman couldn’t understand why Kate kept silent and squared off against Kate and John. The latter duo went upstairs to pack Kate’s things. Once alone, Marlena implored Roman to tell Kate and John that they had sex in the castle. Roman said no; after all, Tony is dead and can’t tell on them, he pointed out. Upstairs, Kate (who seems to have magically forgotten all of the schemes she pulled off and cruel words she said in the past) cried that Hope, Sami, Belle and a lot of other people thought she was a monster. “You’re an incredible loving woman,” John insisted. They then kissed good-bye. Kate called it the happiest and saddest day of her life…. Belle and Mimi went to church to light candles and pray for their men — and all of the brave soldiers fighting the war. Belle also prayed for her dead mother, unware that Marlena was alive and well and at the penthouse… Tony used the fact that Roman and Marlena are alive to coerce Sami into working with him. She had a few demands, including a guarantee that Philip isn’t hurt. Tony assured her that he has bigger plans for Philiip, his “pawn.” Bart warned his boss to look out for Sami’s hidden motives. “She’s not going to get the best of me. I’m a DiMera,” Tony pooh-poohed. Tony then confirmed for Sami that Kate was responsible for splitting up her and Lucas — and he had proof. Tony and Sami were unable to agree on terms to work together. Tony considered “undoing” his mistake of bringing Sami there…. Patrick and Hope arrived at the house where Bo and Billie were trapped in the pit. They found the trap door and heard Billie’s moans of ecstacy. “What’s going on, Fancy Face,” a sweaty, disoriented Bo asked Billie, who he thought was Hope, as Patrick and Hope opened the trap door. Hope freaked out when she caught them. “They were having sex like there was no tomorrow … they can rot in hell for all I care,” she spat to Patrick. Lockhart wanted to save them from the pit, but Hope didn’t. A winded Billie — who apparently used up all of her energy having sex with Bo — begged for them to save her and Bo, who was now passed out…. In the desert, Rex and Brady yelled at Shawn for being impetuous and putting everyone’s lives in danger.

Hope nags Patrick to drive faster as they head to Ogden to find Bo and Billie. Little does she know that speed is of the essence, since a disoriented Bo is trapped in a pit telling Fancy Face how much he loves her, totally unaware that it’s really Billie. Billie realizes it’s wrong, but the poor pathetic thing can’t help herself. She begs Bo to make love to her, anyway. Back in the car, Hope opens up to Patrick about Victor being Bo’s biological father. Victor had an affair with Bo’s mother, Caroline. Hope wonders if Bo could follow in Vic’s footsteps and be unfaithful to her. Patrick assures her that Bo didn’t go off with Billie “to have sex with her.” Finally, at their destination, Hope and Patrick head inside the house, where they hear moaning. “Bo … yes … yes,” implores Billie. “No,” sighs Hope, as she peers into the pit and sees her naked husband on top of Billie.

Bart watches “The Bo and Billie Porno Hour” via a secret video camera on a yacht. He’s with the never-say-die Count DeMera. Bart apologizes for letting Jack, Cassie, Marlena and Roman get away. Tony lets him off the hook, since Marlena and Roman have plenty of pain and suffering to face back in Salem. Besides, Tony has a backup plan and it involves Sami and Philip.

Locked in a jail cell, Victor and Caroline lament being Tony’s captives, again. Caroline hopes Roman and Marlena make it back home; Roman deserves another chance with Kate after the DiMera’s came between them. Since the DiMera’s came between Caroline and Shawn, too, Victor wonders if he and Caroline deserve a second chance. Caroline nixes frisky Vic’s hopes. She broke her marriage vows once, but never again.

Roman and Kate and Marlena and John continue their hug fest at the penthouse. Roman asks Kate how Sami’s doing since her wedding to Lucas was called off. Kate explains that Sami ruined her big day by crawling into bed with Brandon the night before her nuptials; then, left town. No one has heard from Sami in weeks, which worries Marlena. The bad news keeps coming, when Marlena asks if Belle and Philip are happy? Not exactly. Kate says that Belle has decided she’s still in love with Shawn. John adds that Philip, who was shipped off to war, has been captured and is now a POW. Roman wants to head off and rescue Philip, but John informs him that Salem’s “Fearless Foursome,” Rex, Lucas, Shawn and Brady, have beat them to it. “They’re not trained … It’s suicide,” says Roman. Kate frets that she might lose three of her sons, and Marlena comforts her. Then, Marlena questions Kate about John’s injuries after escaping the island. He was paralyzed. To handle that pain and walk again, he must have been on some mighty strong and highly addictive meds. When John interrupts and changes the subject, Roman takes the opportunity to ask Kate if she had anything to do with Sami and Lucas’s break up. Kate lies and says of course not, but admits she’s happy the wedding never took place. Marlena tends to John and they admit that they never stopped loving each other. (So what if they had sex with Roman and Kate!) Despite the fact that he’s not wearing rose-colored glasses, John insists that he and Marlena and Roman and Kate will all live happily ever after.

The guards unmask Stan/Sami as a woman. Convinced she’s a spy, they point their guns to shoot, Sami pleads for her life, insisting that she was ordered to show up at the bunker. She and her captives are working for the same boss. Sami rambles on and on. Tired of hearing her, the guards point their guns to shoot Sami. But Sami’s saved by the bell, LITERALLY, when Tony calls and backs up her story. When one of the guards responds, “Yes, Count DiMera,” Sami realizes whom she’s been working for and demands to speak to Tony. Tony gives Sami her next assignment: welcoming The Fearless Foursome when they arrive at the bunker. Sami refuses. Then, Tony ups the ante and promises to return her parents to her — alive. Begrudgingly, Sami agrees to follow Tony’s orders.

It was a tense moment at the penthouse when Kate apologized for selling Roman’s house. After some heated words back and forth, Marlena suggested they all start over. Roman and Kate looked longingly at John and Marlena as they embraced. Marlena vowed never to be split from John again. “I’m back in the arms of my one true love,” she smiled. John kissed her, but before he did so, seemed to be thinking of something else. Kate told Roman that she had no doubts and wanted to be with him. He has been the man in her heart ever since they first fell in love and she welcomed a second chance at happiness. “Can we pick up from where we started,” she asked. Roman declared his love for her in front of John and Marlena. “I love you… I never stopped,” he said. Kate returned John’s engagement ring in front of the group and they both vowed to remain friends….

Hope was worried when she couldn’t find Bo and called Belle to see if she had any information. Belle answered, “Shawn?” which alarmed Hope, since she didn’t know he had skipped town. Belle revealed to a devastated Hope that Shawn took off to the desert to save Philip….

In the bunker, Sami/Stan and Philip were trapped together. Philip dreamed of Belle. Sami/Stan panicked that she was going to be hurt. When she was brought in front of the guards, she revealed that there was a “super elite crew” on their way to save Philip, then joked to herself, “Yeah, right, Brady and boys from F-Troop.” The guards laughed, then “unmasked” her Stan guise. The merry band of Philip rescuers — Rex, Brady, Lucas and Shawn — infiltrated the bunker to save Philip, but it turned out to be the wrong bunker. They rescued those two guys, however. Shawn was shot in the shoulder in the getaway but it was just a superficial wound and Shawn shrugged it off. When they got back to camp, Brady chided him for being impulsive in the rescue attempt….

A woozy Bo looked at Billie and saw Hope. He kissed her and she responded. “I love you, Fancy Face,” he said. Billie knew it was wrong to let him think that she was Hope, but after seeing the gas leak in the pit, decided that they should be allowed to comfort each other in their final moments. She declared her love for Bo and asked him to make love to her. Still thinking it was Hope, Bo pulled Billie into a kiss. Hope told Patrick she didn’t know if she could be married to a man who consistently picked Billie over her. Monday, May 2, 2005
Hope tells Patrick she has “a really bad feeling” about Bo and Billie. She’s afraid their latest wild goose chase to find Georgia may have led them into a trap. And it has — the pits, literally. Bo and Billie are lying in the bottom of one with no way out. While Hope waits for the police to get back to her as they search for Bo’s car, she complains about Bo’s obsession with finding Georgia and being Billie’s knight in shining armor. Desperate to find Bo, Hope places another call to the one person who might know where he is.

In the pit, Billie begs an unconscious Bo to breathe and eagerly administers mouth to mouth. When he comes to, Billie tells Bo he hit his head pretty hard. (Too bad Hope’s not there to say, “Good! Maybe it will knock some sense into it.”) The duo attempt to escape by making like a totem pole. Billie climbs atop Bo’s shoulders and tries to reach the trap door, but she can’t. Things gets worse when Bo and Billie hear a hissing sound and realize gas is seeping into the pit.

In the cheesiest desert set ever, Brady returns to Shawn, Lucas and Rex and reports that he has a lead on Philip, but they have to act fast or he’ll die. The rebel command center was destroyed and the few rebels left are going to run. Hostages will only slow them down, so they’re expendable. Brady introduces the gang to Dan, a civilian contractor, who spied some of his men being taken hostage. Dan, who’s been tracking them ever since, knows where they are all being held. Brady bets Philip is there, too. The guys devise a plan and head to the bunker. Brady instructs Rex and Lucas to head around back and drawer the guards out, while he and Shawn head inside.

Philip questions Sami/Stan about his identity and why he’s there, but obviously she can’t fess up. Fearing for her life, Sami/Stan wonders aloud if Brady might be on his way to save her; then, mentions Rex and Shawn. Philip wonders how Sami/Stan knows all these people. Sami/Stan slips that she’s somebody who “made a deal with the devil and got in way over HER head.” Philip’s confused. Is Sami/Stan really a girl? Philip quickly decides that Sami/Stan must be an undercover agent and wants to know his plan. Sami/Stan admits she doesn’t have one. Philip says he does, but passes out before he can divulge it. The guards return and Sami/Stan thinks they’re going to let her go. Not exactly. They tell Sami/Stan the only way she’s leaving is in a body bag. Yikes! Sami/Stan cowers and begs, “Please, don’t shoot me.”

Kate and John explain how they came to be engaged. Their grief over losing Roman and Marlena led them to each other’s arms for comfort and then some. But now that Roman and Marlena are alive, Kate and John insist they want to swap back to their original mates. Ever the optimist, Roman believes it will all work out fine, and the foursome head back to the penthouse. Marlena gets teary-eyed about being home, while Roman laments about never getting to honeymoon with Kate. John starts getting frisky with Marlena, when his back goes out. Kate sends Roman upstairs to fetch a special pillow, while Marlena tries to massage John’s back. Poor Doc can’t find the right spot, so Kate steps in and rubs John just the right way. Meanwhile, Roman finds the sexy nightie he bought Kate for their wedding night in John’s bedroom and is perturbed. Roman and Marlena commiserate about how “at home” Kate looks in the penthouse. Roman suggests that he and Kate head to his house, when she drops a bombshell: she sold it. Roman’s flabbergasted. It certainly didn’t take Kate long to move on with John. Annoyed, Roman poses a question: Who’s going to stay at the penthouse tonight with John, Kate or Marlena?
