Days of Our Lives Comings & Goings: Meet the New Arianna Horton!
A familiar Salemite is getting a new face as Vico Escorcia debuts as the new Arianna Horton on Days of Our Lives. The actress will be making her first appearance on Wednesday, April 8, taking over the role from Marissa Reyes, who last aired as the character on March 25.
New Look, Same Drama
Victoria (Vico) Escorcia is of French and Mexican descent, and DAYS will mark her daytime debut. The actress’s resume includes roles in Mexican series like Paramedicos and Netflix’s Se Llamaba Pedro Infante as well as American productions such as the 2015 History Channel miniseries Texas Rising and the 2014 ABC crime drama Killer Women. Her most recent work was playing Paloma on seasons three and four of the AppleTV+ series Acapulco, which also starred Jessica Collins (ex-Avery, The Young and the Restless; ex-Dinah Lee, Loving). She also starred in the 2023 Mexican crime thriller Los Crimenes de Mar del Norte and received two Ariel Award (Mexico’s equivalent to the Academy Awards) nominations for her performance as Paquita.
The daughter of Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey), Ari was born back in May 2013 and was played by twins Harper and Sydnee Udell until 2019, when Sydney Brower stepped in to play her as a young girl. After Lane Rosa made a few appearances as Ari in 2022, the character wasn’t seen again until May 2025, when Ari returned home from school as a teenager, now played by Reyes.
In the lead-up to her final episode of DAYS, Reyes shared on Instagram how grateful she was for the opportunity to portray Ari. “Although it was my choice — and my choice alone — to make my exit from the show,” she wrote, “I will always look back on this chapter with complete and honest gratitude and affection.”
Ari doesn’t have the best luck in love and is currently involved with Liam (Hank Northrop), unaware that he is mixed up in criminal activities involving the DiMeras and Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel). She’s also clashing with friend and former college roommate, Holly (Ashley Puzemis), over a sorority at the school. So, there will be no shortage of drama for Escorcia to play when she hits the Salem scene next week!
