Comings and Goings: The Latest Cast Changes As Of March 24

Christopher Sean checks back in to DAYS, Rena Sofer takes a GH break and James Patrick Stuart exits Port Charles once again.
Who’s Coming
Beyond The Gates
Jason Graham (Douglas McBride): Vanessa’s (Lauren Buglioli) husband will continue to get in deep with the head of the casino — but he won’t be able to hide everything from his wife.
Darryl W. Handy (Marcel Malone): The veteran detective will experience some trouble this week, courtesy of Jacob (Jibre Hordges). Marcel will also tip off Jacob to some problems later in the week when he’s nice to him… too nice.
Najah Jackson (Samantha Richardson): Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty’s (Mike Manning) daughter will be on hand as a sounding board for her brother.
Jon Lindstrom (Joey Armstrong): Look for the casino boss to go into business with his mark’s wife this week. What will he and Vanessa be doing, and what will Doug think about it?
Jaden Lucas Miller (Tyrell Richardson): Tyrell continues to face issues this week and turns once again to his sister for counsel.
Keith D. Robinson (Ted Richardson): The role of Nicole’s (Daphnee Duplaix) husband has been recast, news first reported by Deadline. Robinson will start airing in May. The actor’s previous credits include playing C.C. White in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, which starred Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson. He also had a recurring role on ABC’s A Million Little Things and a role in the series Saints & Sinners, which starred Vanessa Bell Calloway (ex-Yvonne Caldwell, All My Children).
Bold and Beautiful
Delon de Metz (Zende Forrester Dominguez): The character will be discussing the drama at Forrester Creations with Daphne (Murielle Hilaire).
Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan Forrester): The actress will be on hand for the all-female episode that has been written and directed by her on-screen sister Heather Tom (Katie). Tom, who will also act in the episode, spoke about the special half-hour with Digest, which you can find here.
Days of our Lives
Tina Huang (Melinda Trask): This week, Melinda is questioned by JJ (Casey Moss) because she is in possession of the infamous Horton family necklace. Will she give up Doug III (Peyton Meyer)? Melinda will also have a warning for Gabi (Cherie Jimenez).
Colton Little (Andrew Donovan): Andrew will be assisting Steve (Stephen Nichols) when Little pops up again this week. Andrew was seen in Salem during the summer of 2024 when his sister Theresa (Emily O’Brien) almost married Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and again in the fall.
Shi Ne Nielson (Amy Choi): Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) mom will be on hand for a meeting with Paulina (Jackée Harry), Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman).
Christopher Sean (Paul Narita): John’s (Drake Hogestyn) son will appear this week to talk about his missing dad with John’s concerned wife, Marlena (Deidre Hall). Sean was last seen in Salem when Paul arrived for his father’s anniversary with Marlena last November. At that time, he got engaged to Andrew.
General Hospital
Daniel Cosgrove (Ezra Boyle): As fans learned last week, the actor — who previously played Aiden Jennings on DAYS, Scott Chandler on All My Children, Chris Hughes on As the World Turns and Bill Lewis III on Guiding Light — has joined the ABC soap in a newly created role. Look for the councilman to bump heads with fellow politico Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
Vernee Watson (Stella Henry): Expect to see more of Stella — and her friendship with Tracy (Jane Elliot) — this week.
Who’s Going
Beyond The Gates
Maurice Johnson (Ted Richardson): Part of the original cast when the show made its debut on February 24, the actor is leaving the new CBS soap. There is no word yet on his last airdate, Johnson posted on X (previously Twitter), “Sorry #BeyondTheGates fans. You’ll have about 30+ more episodes to see if Dr. Ted ever goes shirtless.” He added, “I’ll be back on your screen on Thursday! Thanks for the love and blowing the internet up over the weekend about ya boy!”
Days of our Lives
Ros Gentle (Rachel Black): It was time for the Woman in White to say good-bye to Salem since she knew too much about EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Gentle began her run as Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) mother at the end of January. You can read her exit interview with Digest here.
AlexAnn Hopkins (Joy Wesley): After Joy realized that she couldn’t tell Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) that she was pregnant, she chose to keep the secret to herself and head back to New York, where she would have the support of her parents, Nancy (Patrika Darbo) and Craig (Kevin Spirtas), as well as her big sister, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). Hopkins made her debut in the role last October.
Emily O’Brien (Theresa Donovan): It was a quick visit, but after hearing that her mother’s leukemia has returned, Theresa took the next flight to Los Angeles to help Kimberly with her treatment. The actress will also be seen again later this year, when O’Brien reprises her first DAYS character, Gwen Rizczech.
Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan): The actor has wrapped his brief return after his character gave Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Steve information about John and let his daughter, Theresa, know about her mother’s condition.
General Hospital
James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine): The popular actor has wrapped up another stint as Valentin. On the Monday, March 24 episode, his character said a heartbreaking good-bye to daughter Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) and headed off to Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison in Geneva.
Who’s Staying
General Hospital
Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo): Lois hightailed it back to Bensonhurst last week after a baby-related blow-up with her daughter, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) — but her absence from the canvas is short-term. Sofer was written out to accommodate her schedule shooting a film opposite Tuc Watkins (ex-David Vickers, One Life to Live; ex-Pierce Dorman, GH) and Walt Willey (ex-Jackson Montgomery, AMC et al), but she is already back in the studio, and Lois will once again be in the thick of major story soon.
Real-Life Status
Put A Ring On It: One Life to Live alum Andrew Trischitta (ex-Jack Manning) revealed he’s engaged! He popped the question to Monica Mamudo, an influencer, on his new fiancée’s birthday while the two were on a rooftop garden in Hollywood, California. In their joint Instagram announcement, photos showed the progression of her shock to happy tears aplenty. In the comment section, the actor admitted, “I was so nervous.” Trischitta joined the ABC soap in 2011 and followed it to the online version as well. Congrats to the happy couple!
The Heart Of The Matter: Digest wishes Dan Feuerriegel (EJ, DAYS) well after he got his pacemaker replaced. “All went well, just a little groggy,” he shared from his hospital bed in his Instagram story. “Fun fact. They gave me enough sedative to take down a horse (docs words, not mine) & I still woke up during the procedure. 😩 I am secretly Wolverine. Felt them stitching me up. Ouchie. ☠️”
In Memoriam
Mark Dobies, who played Dr. Noah Chase on Guiding Light from 2000-2001 and Daniel Colson on One Life to Live from 2003-2005 (with his D.A. character crossing over to All My Children in 2005), passed away on March 11 at the age of 65.
Wings Hauser, the third actor to play Greg Foster on Y&R from 1977-1981 and again briefly in 2010, passed away on March 15 at the age of 77. Michael Easton (ex-Hamilton Finn, GH, et al) shared a poignant message on his Instagram. “Feeling a weight in my heart with the passing of Wings Hauser,” he began. “In 1989, Wings gave me my first break as an actor, casting me in a low budget feature that he directed and starred in called ‘Cold Fire’ (If any of you have seen my work in this movie. I am very sorry). Until then all I had done was theater in New York and it was my first time working in front of a camera. I had no idea what I was doing. I remember being in a casting office with dozens of other actors and Wings passed by me and asked, “Can you act, kid?” I lied and told him I could. Wings also cast Kamar de los Reyes [ex-Antonio Vega, One Life to Live] to play my half-brother in the movie and this is how we met and became lifelong friends. The budget was next to nothing and the whole movie was shot in eleven days. Every night after shooting, Kamar and I would take my motorcycle or the bus (neither of us had a car) to Chinatown where we were staying in one of the producer’s apartments while they were out of town (it was the kind of movie that even the producer didn’t want to be around). We’d scrape together enough money to buy a box of pop tarts and a six pack of beer and we’d sit on the fourth floor fire escape and just talk until the sun came up. It’s a time in my life I’ll always remember and Wings is someone I will never forget. He was a true original. Wings was always kind to me and I learned a great deal about acting and more importantly, about life from him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and all his fans. Rest in power, brother.”
