Comments

Whenever there’s a big holiday on the horizon, soap fans wonder whether or not their favorite shows will be airing. With Christmas Eve on Wednesday, December 24, and Christmas Day on Thursday, December 25, viewers are curious if General Hospital, Young and Restless, Bold and Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and Beyond the Gates will be airing new episodes on those days. We don’t want anyone to miss a single episode of their favorite daytime dramas, so Soap Opera Digest has the full holiday schedule for you so you don’t miss out on any of the drama, romance, or excitement.

Is Beyond the Gates going to be on over the Christmas holiday?

While CBS’s newest soap will be airing a special Christmas episode on December 24, the network will be airing repeats of BTG on both December 25 and December 26. These will be encore presentations of the episodes that originally ran back on December 5 and December 8, featuring the WinterFest celebration and Greg Vaughan’s debut as Kial.

Is Bold and Beautiful going to be on over the Christmas holiday?

B&B fans can tune in on Christmas Eve to watch the Forresters celebrate the season with their traditional family gathering. And while there will not be a new episode on Christmas Day, anyone looking for some more Forrester festivities can tune in to the encore presentation of the December 24, 2024, episode, where the family comes together to try to enjoy Christmas even though Carter had stolen Forrester Creations out from under them.

Is Days of Our Lives going to be on over the Christmas holiday?

Now that DAYS streams on Peacock and isn’t subject to network preemptions or rescheduling, it will be airing brand new episodes on both December 24 and 25. Even as family arrives in Salem to celebrate the holiday, the prisoners in the DiMera crypt are fighting for their lives, so not everyone will be having a merry Christmas this year.

Is General Hospital going to be on over the Christmas holiday?

Fans can look forward to an all-new episode on Christmas Eve as the residents of Port Charles celebrate the holiday, Carly takes a risk, and Dante receives counsel from Sonny. However, on December 25, GH will be preempted nationally, and NBA basketball will be airing on ABC that afternoon. So there will be no new episode on Thursday afternoon, or on Hulu or ABC.com that evening.

Is Young and Restless going to be on over the Christmas holiday?

Y&R will be new on Wednesday as some families in Genoa City are reminded of the meaning of Christmas and count their blessings, and another puts aside their differences. Then, on Thursday, fans can look forward to an encore presentation of the December 23, 2010, episode when Victor was visited by the ghosts of Christmas past that include special guest appearances by George Kennedy as Albert Miller, Signy Coleman as Hope Adams, and Raya Meddine as Sabrina Newman.
