Apprentice 3 Update #11

Comments

Technology, jeans, jackets and logos filled the April 7 episode of THE APPRENTICE, as the teams tried to prove they could dress for success.

This week’s task was to produce a new line of clothing for the popular American Eagle Outfitters. But not just any clothing line — one that mixed the two things that teens love: electronic gadgets and clothes. The Project Managers had ample amounts of research, brain-storming, even designing to do and Tana was quick to step up to the plate for Magna, and Alex for Net Worth.

Magna started strong, immediately doing marketing research with their target market at an American Eagle Outfitters store. After questioning a group of youngsters, they had their ideas intact and were off to the design room. Elsewhere, things weren’t going as well for the ever-unlucky Net Worth. While at Best Buy, using the $5,000 credit card Trump provided to buy the numerous gadgets, Chris accidentally lost the powerful piece of plastic. Uh-oh. Things continued to go well for Magna as they presented their innovated WEARABLE TECH line (complete with clothing that stored cell phones and iPods) to the head-honchos at American Eagle. Unfortunately, Net Worth’s bad luck persisted and the presentation of their BEACH TECH line didn’t impress executives. Magna won the challenge, making Tana the only person so far with a 2-0 winning streak as Project Manager.

In the boardroom Trump was vocal in his displeasure with Net Worth, focusing on Chris, for his mistake of temporarily losing the credit card and wasting time, and Angie for cracking under pressure and delivering a horrible presentation. He called the entire team “losers,” but Angie was the one who heard those mind-numbing words: “You’re fired.”

Four people remain in Magna, and two in Net Worth. Check this space next Friday, April 15, for the latest scoop on NBC’s hit reality show.

Alex: His theology and Latin degrees alone reveal his impressive mind, and his solid speaking — and lobbying — skills will please Mr. Trump.

Brian: He’s got the creativity and business acumen, having made a million from selling glow-in-the-dark necklaces.

Kendra: This entrepreneur and talk radio show host may prove to be one of the most resourceful and dedicated players.

Tara: Watch this one — her NYC know-how and heavy management experience should keep her on the successful side.

The dark horses: lively Angie and tough Bren!
