Who Is Justine Turner on General Hospital?
Some fans might be curious about ADA Turner on General Hospital, so we’re here to fill you in on everything you need to know! The character debuted in the Nov. 25, 2024, episode of the soap and is played by Nazneen Contractor. Viewers might recognize the actress from her roles in series like The Border, 24, Covert Affairs, Ransom, and Children Ruin Everything. Contractor is also the real-life wife of GH actor Carlo Rota (Sidwell)!
Assistant district attorney Justine Turner was first seen on the job in November 2024, prosecuting Ava Jerome for allegedly pushing Kristina Corinthos out of a window at The Metro Court, causing her to lose her unborn baby. But despite the ADA’s best efforts, Ava was found not guilty.
Turner resurfaced in February 2025 when she informed police commissioner Anna Devane she was being removed from the Cyrus Renault murder case due to the fact that she’s friends with the main suspect, Jason Morgan. Since his DNA was found at the crime scene, Turner was eager to book Jason and throw him in jail, but he claimed to have an alibi. While Drew Cain lied and wouldn’t support his brother’s claim, Jason did eventually go free.

In April, ADA Turner was prosecuting Emma Scorpio Drake for chaining herself to the Quartermaine crypt to protest its demolition. Anna accused Turner of going after her granddaughter because she has a problem with her, so Turner revealed that Emma had priors and was involved in a protest in Berkeley that led to her expulsion, but the records were sealed. After Emma pled guilty and got community service, Turner continued investigating, asking Trina Robinson what she knew about Emma’s past, but didn’t get anywhere. She also tried questioning Sonny Corinthos, but he shut down her fishing expedition quickly.
At the annual Nurses Ball charity event, Sonny informed the ADA that he would not be run out of Port Charles. When Natalia Ramirez was arrested for drunk driving, Turner took over her case so that she could pressure her into making a deal in exchange for dirt on Sonny. Learning the mob boss planned to spirit Natalia out of the country, Turner put out an APB, but the woman was soon found dead from an overdose of alcohol and pills. When Marco Rios went missing, Turner knew Sonny had him kidnapped, and was frustrated when he resurfaced and made up a wild story about where he’d been instead of accusing Corinthos.
After joining the PCPD softball team, Turner exchanged some flirty banter with Sonny, though she also accused him of trying to bribe her with a new baseball glove. After injuring her ankle, Justine was grateful to Sonny for taking her to the hospital, and they continued to bond while waiting for a doctor. But she continued to refuse any gifts that he tried to send her. When she visited Sonny’s to apologize for the way she’d been treating him, Donna insisted she stay for dinner. Later, she hid when Drew showed up and was stunned to overhear the Congressman demand that Sonny do what he wants or Michael will go to prison for assaulting him. So when Drew couldn’t get any witnesses or evidence, Justine took pleasure in informing him the case was closed.
