Carolyn Hinsey has written for Soap Opera Digest since 1992, interviewing virtually everyone connected to the soap industry while crafting her popular “It’s Only My Opinion” column. Past positions include Executive Editor of Soap Opera Digest, Editor-in-Chief of Soap Opera Weekly, columnist for The New York Daily News and General Editor of In Touch where she was able to apply her vast knowledge of catfights to reality TV. In addition to her current work at Digest, she also writes special issues for People, covering everything from General Hospital’s 60th anniversary to the final season of The Crown in 2023.
