“There are two ways to go with this. At one point I was stalked. It ended up dangerous and the police had to come. It turned out the stalker was way closer than we even imagined. Or dealing with aging parents. With seven brothers and sisters there are different ideas about what we can do. Then, throw in some new characters, some new in-laws with very different ideas, and the factions that develop, and the pain and the hurt. Everyone thinks, ‘I know what’s best.’ And the two parents have their own ideas.”

“Read my book [My Seven Sons And How We Raised Each Other]. They’re all in there. Pick one!”

“I’ve actually been thinking of broaching this with the writers: My dad has Parkinson’s and I think there hasn’t been enough done on this disease and what people who are affected go through. I think it would make a phenomenal story and it reminds me of the Alzheimer’s story on GENERAL HOSPITAL, which was
really touching. I think something with Parkinson’s could raise a lot of awareness.”

“Going home to see my family in Michigan. I just recently was there. That alone, the chaos and drama that goes on between a mother and daughter. That in itself could probably be on a soap opera.
I don’t think people would
actually believe the crazy things that go on.”

“Years ago, I went on a blind date. My best friend was like, ‘I’m meeting this girl. She’s bringing her friend. Come on.’ So, I meet her, and there was no chemistry but we were going to walk around and let my friend and his girlfriend go off. As we’re walking and talking, we start talking about family, and in that moment we realized that we were cousins. We recalled playing with each other as kids! That could be some weird, twisted soap right there.”

“My love affair with my own wife. I would say that would be good enough for November sweeps. That sounds like a bad answer but I mean, I can’t think of anything as great an adventure as my relationship with Jocelyn.”

“About a kid who grew up in the entertainment industry, and the experiences and the travels he had in a short amount of time, I think would make a content-filled story for sure.”
