Steve Burton, who is heading back to GH, where he first began playing Jason in 1990, was born on June 28 in Indianapolis, IN and raised in Cleveland, OH and Chicago, IL.
Burton wed Sheree Gustin on January 16, 1999. They have two daughters, Makena and Brooklyn, and a son, Jack. The family lives in Tennessee. The actor flew back and forth from Los Angeles during his time as Y&R’s Dylan.
The actor maintains close business ties with his GH pals. "I have my restaurant [Jack and Jameson’s Smokehouse] here [in Nashville] with Jonathan Jackson [ex-Lucky, GH].” Burton launched Hollywood Schooled online [hollywoodschooled.com] with Derk Cheetwood [ex-Max, GH], which offers guidance on how to break into Hollywood.
He tours around the country with PORT CHUCK, a rock band comprised of current and former Port Charles faces: Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Scott Reeves (ex-Steven), and Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny).

Burton received his second Emmy in April, winning for Supporting Actor. After thanking Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) and Doug Davidson (Paul, Y&R), he talked about his Genoa City experience. “It was an honor to be a part of your show,” he said, then thanked the crew, saying, “You pour your hearts into it … I utterly thank you.”
Filming his final Y&R scenes with Doug Davidson’s Paul (pictured with Melody Thomas Scott as Nikki) was a challenge, Burton told Digest. “First of all, it was very difficult to do any scene where it was a good-bye or, ‘Hey, this is your last scene, Steve.’ It was horrible, emotionally, especially with Doug, because he and I are super, super-close. I mean, I could barely get through the scene, quite honestly. It was very, very difficult. I literally had to keep telling myself in my head, ‘There’s no way you can do this again. You have to get through it.’ I could barely talk.”
