How do you like your character mixing it up with business?

“I love it! I feel that Abby has been underestimated by both sides of her family in the sense that nobody recognized that she does have the smarts of her mother and her dad. I think there’s a ruthless businesswoman underneath.”

Does she feel conflicted that she’s both an Abbott and a Newman?

She does feel torn between her families and now that she’s working with Jack behind her dad’s back, it’s going to get very interesting — and dirty.”

Do you think the timing is right for Abby to be this involved with her dad’s company?

“Oh, totally. I feel that Abby has been good for too long. It’s time for her to get into some trouble. After her divorce and losing the baby, she was brokenhearted at first, so it’s time for her to have some corporate drama. She’s throwing herself into work because it’s about proving herself to her dad.”

Why does Abby feel so threatened by Victoria?

“Abby has, at least, always felt respected by Victor but she doesn’t feel respected by her sister. So, Abby’s way to prove herself is through business, and she’s hoping that’s going to make her relationship with her dad stronger. But I think beyond that, Abby wants to be Victoria. Abby is feeling insecure about all of Victoria’s successes, so Abby is determined to be better than her. Abby has been touchy about everything that Victoria says to her and it’s not going to get any better.”

How do you like playing those scenes with Amelia Heinle (Victoria)?

“I love it. I love any time that I get to work with Amelia; she’s one of my favorite people. We like each other so much in real life that it’s fun to play that cattiness on camera.”

What do you two do after shooting one of those catty scenes?

“We usually laugh. Or I’ll say, ‘I’m so sorry that I had to say those mean things to you,’ but Amelia is just the sweetest person. I adore her so much.”

Do you hope that this momentum keeps going?

“I do! But I hope there’s love thrown into that and I think there might be that coming up.”

What kind of man do you see Abby with?

“I think it would be fun if it’s someone she just despises. That sexual tension is always fun to play.”

And now Abby is very curious about her grandmother.

“Very curious and she’s anxious to pursue that relationship. I love working with Marla [Adams, Dina]. She’s amazing. Everything about her is so beautiful and I’m really happy to be working with her. There’s a lot of drama coming up and Abby is caught in the middle.”
