More Exits From DAYS!
By SOD • Posted: Jun 7, 2011The bloodbath continues: Soap Opera Digest has learned Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Tamara Braun (Taylor) and Bren Foster (Quinn) have been let go as part of the cast trimming Executive Producer Ken Corday talked about in the issue currently on sale.

First of all let me say I am so glad that Tamara Braun (Taylor) is leaving the show. I was so mad when they switched Taylors because Tamara to me is so ugly and dont belong with a hunk like EJ. Nicole is so much prettier then her and there is no way she looks like she would be Nicole younger sister. So saying Goodbye to that big bug eyed looking thing sure dont hurt my feeling none and I hope she never comes back on the show because it was hard enough looking at her this long.
What a bunch of JUNK. The character has lost her way, thanks to Dena. Hooking for some guy from OZ who is the, bum bum bum, Son Of Vivian? Oh please. What kind of twisted, "I can't think of anything else to write" garbage is this? Over the past many LONG months, I expect Alice has rolled over again and again in disgust at what has been perpetrated on Salemites by Dina and her minions. All eyes are on Mr. Corday as he brings up the rear of the parade with his shovel crew. Who else will he dump? Chloe could have a lot more to say. She's a strong character who thinks that she needs a man to be whole. Let's make her a strong character who can stand on her own. Victim Victim Victim. It's easier to cut her loose than to resurrect her. What a great story that would be. Make her a champion for victim's rights.
While I'm at it, is Crystal Chappell being fired because she plays a doctor who lives in a hotel room? What about Dr. Daniel, world famous heart surgeon, living in a goofy little apartment. I know...that's neither here nor there. I just needed to say it.
The refocusing of Days better be done with surgical skill or the patient might not make it.
WOO HOO! Since it is rumored that Drake Hogestyn is returning to DAYS (I PRAY it is true) it looks like I'll be once again tuning into DAYS since I stopped watching it when he left.

They are the most popular to return , and Chloe is exactly the character to still have there when they come back. Everyone knows Phil will eventually return. He must. Brady seems to be going to the other side of the cast to compliment Phil and Sean. Besides, it will be be fun to have Claire, Ciara, Theo, Jack Jr, Johnny, Ally, Sydney, Parker and will they recall Tyler?
Reunite them!

I agree with about 50% of what you said. I do agree that releasing Nadia and Bren is a huge mistake. There is finally a story that I enjoy and the actors are magic together onscreen (include Louise here) and what does Ken do? Fire them. It makes absolutely no sense. I am watching the scenes of these three multiple times because they're so good.
I'm not interested in seeing JAM (John and Marlena) return. Never liked John except when he got a personality replant, but I just don't see that they'll add anything to the show.
I agree that it would be cool to see the Wesleys return. And yes, if you're going to have Justin and Adrienne, give them a bit more than trolling at the bar or filing briefs. We didn't even get to see their recent wedding!
I sincerely hope that Ken will rethink some of his firings (Nadia, Bren, Louise, Crystal). There are others I would get rid of first: Taylor, Dario, at least one Rafe, even Kate hasn't had much substance lately and no kids in Salem, Caroline (but she's probably recurring), Jen, Abby (they totally skewered Jack's rep).
We need antagonists on the show and Viv and Quinn are delicious and fun and fantastic and amazing actors. I will really miss seeing them on my TV each week. :-(
It seems @ Days, if a female charater is not connected to a MAN, the actress (regardless of talent) is OUT. Look @ Carly. Well she doesn't have Bo or Daniel...so I guess we can't write for her. REALLY? No imagination. Now, the same with Chloe. No man, no job? That is a great message eh?
The storyline with Taylor never had a chance. Falling deeply in love (@ first sight) on the pier, all those long lusty glances, changing actors, degrading the character - stabbing her sister in the back? Sure, who wouldn't want to watch that?? EW!
TPTB really could have hit gold with letting Hope grow on her own, reconnect with her daughter and family, finding a new career etc. Maybe even having a new love, gee....letting Hope be with someone else?? What a concept! Bo is the Nick Newman of Salem, he just goes back and forth...kind of like a jellyfish - no spine. Ever think he would realize that he was back with Hope due to guilt and not love...and leave her for Carly?
But now that TPTB are PASSIONS folks, DAYS days, are numbered.
Ok Yay Taylors` out! But Choles` out too and her and Quinn were too cute but he is so bad and I wanted Daniel to save Chole and apoligize and say he always` loved` her and happily ever after! NO Chole is not a slut Taylor is!
Please keep Chloe!! We need some young(ish) people from the past. Don't care about Carly or Quinn. Seems like Dena really messed up the whole show. Always thought it was about the Hortons and the Bradys and their enemies and friends. She just took things too far out there. And I see no reason to suddenly make Will gay either.
I feel so bad for this character. I believe that there has been so much damage to her that they have to let her leave. And maybe down the road she can come back. I hear it was actually her decision and I don't blame her. They turned what started out a beautiful character into a "slut" now "prostitue"? I only hope she gets to her baby and down the road her and Philip can return. I don't blame her, and the actors that played Stephanie, Philip and Nathan for leaving. I can only hope the storylines get "smart" again. I will miss Chloe and Carly. May they have the chance to make a come back later on. Forever a Days fan and have learned to let characters go, welcome new in, and welcome returns back! :-)
Losing the extremely talented and drop dead gorgeous Nadia is the worst thing that could happen to the show. When you have someone like Nadia on your show you don't let them go. You write sl's worthy of her talent and beauty. Wether it was her decision or yours, you have to find a way to bring her back and give us back the real Chloe. Chloe Lane: A veteran(12 years), very loved and famous character thanks to her portrayer….You can't let her go: You'll lose: Chloe's ,Broe's, Phloe's, Danloe's, Carloe's, Luloe's, Quinnloe's fans. Huge fanbase. No other character on Daytime has such huge fanbase. You already lost most of them because of the damages caused by DH to the character. You have the chance to fix that with the new writers. Instead you let her go. Your loss.

I am ok with Chloe gone, hopefully it's to her baby! Quinn can go...and poor Taylor should move on anyway. I never hated Taylor, I wish she could have stayed but the character has no reason to stay. Shell find out EJ's secret, hopefully, and leave.
I just want Melanie to stay. I don't care who you fix her up with...just KEEP her in Salem!!!! Love, love, love Molly Burnett! :) Please and Thank you!
I will Miss Chloe (Nadia) what a beautiful woman,i wish the writers would have put her with Brady. No i do not think Tamara should go back to GH but, if she does put her in as a new character.

I like Quinn/Bren. About time we had some hot guys in Salem. Yes, James Scott is hot, but his hotness crown is precarious based on recent love scenes where he wasn't in great shape. Bren, on the other hand, is sexy hot. Plus, he's a great actor. The scenes between him and Louise yesterday were magic. I watched them three times. The rest of the show, once was enough.
I was liking Chloe in the new storyline with Quinn.
Have loved Sami forever, but yesterday I found myself thinking that I wouldn't mind if she left. And take the whole Hernandez fam with her and tell Marlena and John they don't need to return.
Just very frustrated and upset and feeling betrayed.
Been watching Days since 1984 and for the first time I am seriously thinking about stopping once these changes take effect.
I will only miss Chloe from this trio. She is one of my faves and I was hoping for a Chloe/Brady reunion or Philip/Chloe if they brought him back. I guess the show is getting rid of the people who are not in the main families. I am hoping that some of the cast who has been under used will get more airtime then. With Marlena/John coming back I am assuming that Brady will be more front and center and I guess he will be with Nicole. What about EJ? Are they going to put him back with the Sami/Rafe mix? I guess Taylor just didn't click as a character no matter who was playing her. Too bad because I LOVE Tamara Braun too but I just hated Taylor. Quinn was a terrible character from day one and another of Dena's mistakes. Bren Foster is a good looking guy and will do great things so I am not worried about him.
am i the only one that cannot stand the hernandezes i was hoping that they would be cut! Sami and Rafe together make me want to throw up!!! Dario and Gabi do nothing for the show!! Keep Chloe, Carly, and Vivian and get rid of the Hernandezes nobody cares about them!!!!!!!!!!

I can differentiate the actors on soaps from the characters they play. I do sympathize with ALL the actors being let go from Days. For them it is a major upheaval in their lives just like it would be for anyone else who goes through job loss. But regarding the characters they play, I am glad to see some those characters go because of the writing. Sad to say, but actors are often at the mercy of the writers... If the writers goof, the actor might not survive the mess. I believe this is at least partially what is going on. (I also believe the writers go through burnout, and this is why stories are bad.)
I especially think Dena Higley went too far with the character of Chloe. Chloe is going to allow herself to be blackmailed into prostitution instead of standing up to Quinn. How distasteful is that? As far as Taylor is concerned, I think it was a GROSS mistake to change actresses midstream. Natalia Livingston was doing a great job. The story could have been written differently to let Taylor take the high road and let that drive EJ crazy. She could have stayed true to Nicole and see what happens. Opportunity missed.
Regarding Quinn, the best they have on him is his relationship with Vivian. I want to see Vivian whip his behind so bad... I hope the new writers do that before Bren and Louise exit. Don't like the Chloe/Quinn story.
The good thing about Days is that actors who are let go sometimes have an opportunity to come back. It has happened before and is happening now. I am very excited to see Marlena come back. I was disappointed when Deidre Hall and Drake H. were let go in 2008. So I know how the fans of the actors who are being let go feel.
I hope all the actors who are getting the ax right now will be willing to come back if given the opportunity. Sometimes, it is just best to give the characters a rest until a better storyline can be written for them.
why they changed out NL for TB I will never understand. TB made that character odd. The writers destroyed Chloe a long time ago. Quinn total non issue. Hope with the new writers in place they will bring this show up to date.
Tamara was a horrible fit as Taylor. Taylor was a dreadful character. Chloe has been demolished in the last 4 years. Quinn is a horrible newbie. So Nadia, Tamara, and Bren are no big loss for DOOL. They are all expendable. At least Crystal Chappell and Louise Sorel are very good actresses. All of the faves coming back to DOOL are great gets. But DOOL needs great writing!
