GH's Guza Out

Looks like we jumped the gun when we first reported this on April 4. ABC Daytime announced May 18 that GENERAL HOSPITAL's Robert Guza, Jr. will be replaced as head writer by Garin Wolf, effective immediately. "His in-depth knowledge and adoration for the show's legacy will help make a smooth transition and an immediate impact on story," said ABC Daytime President Brian Frons in a statement.

One of the blogs a person mention reaching out to the Sponsor for the new shows and boycotting them. I agree with this if they continue the cancellation of the AMC and OLTL, they should not have the veiwers loyal to them and the sponsors. If the sponsor do not make money or see people will not support their products then they may do something.
I am very sad that the networks are so caught up in the talk shows, We have enough talk shows already!!!!!!!!
DONT BUY THERE PRODUCTS FROM THE SPONSORS!!!!!!!!!REACH OUT THEM AND BOYCOTT!!!!
Hate to see someone lose their job but I was SO tired of the Sonny/Jason show. I do like the characters but want the Quartermaines and Laura back. Laura would have made a much better impact than Brenda any day of the week. Of course, Laura's world did not revolve around Sonny/Jason so she was not wanted by Guza.
Aging children for storylines is a lazy cop out of the writers. Michael is now a totally different character, meaning that we viewers wasted years investing in a wonderful actor and terrific role. Days is famous for this. Let's hope these new writers will be competent enuf to actually write entertaining stories w/out stupid gimmicks. I have watched Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale from the UK for many years & highly recommend them if you can get them. High quality writing and the "average" look of dynamic actors have kept these shows in prime time for decades. NOW: Let's Get Rid of FRONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have been a life long fan of GH. Heartbroken about the turn of events lately with the show. Bringing Brenda back was a huge waste of time(you can not go back to the way it was), dropping the Quartermaines, and overall losing the GH we know and love. Maybe the firing of Robert Guza is the shot in the arm we are all waiting for. P.S. Steve Burton not being nominated is a huge faux pas. I love Maurice Benard, but he did not hold a candle to "Jason" this year.
I AM DEEPLY SADDENED THAT ALL MY CHILDREN AND ONE LIFE TO LIVE ARE BEING CANCELLED. ABC HAS NOTHING ELSE OF INTEREST ON DAYTIME!! I NEVER WATCH THEIR NIGHTTIME LINEUP!! THEY ARE LOSING MILLIONS OF VIEWERS AND $$$!
Now if we could just get rid of Frons & get our soaps back. OLTL is on fire-best show on tv-very unfair to cancel it just because they screwed AMC up so bad over recent years.

Why does Guza look like Elton John? Glad he is out and the new writer has got to be better. Now we just need to get rid of Frons and Dena Higley over at Days and the world will be a better place.
Good! Maybe the new head writer will be bring back the General Hospital we used to love! It's going into a downward spiral!!!
