The CBS soap is celebrating 30 years since the debut of actress Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers. Things have been hard for Phyllis lately, since it looks like she's being fired from her job but worse — her son Daniel is being framed for the death of the woman he loved.

Phyllis's family looks to her for strength when times get tough and they've never been tougher. Granddaughter Lucy (Lily Brooks O'Briant, l.) just lost her mom, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) lost the woman he loved and is being blamed for it, and not only that, but it's Summer's (Allison Lanier) boyfriend who is investigating him!

Phyllis wants to be supportive during this awful time and Lucy is leaning on her more than ever now that she's lost the only mother she's known. Despite suffering herself, will Phyllis find the right words to inspire the kids to carry on?

Phyllis may not have been there for a lot of Daniel's childhood, which he spent with Danny, but he knows his mom is there for him now. She has his back like no one else and hopes she'll continue to do so.

While it's a group hug for Phyllis, with Daniel, Lucy and Summer, the worry on her face is evident. Things are really bad for Daniel and this may be one problem that she can't figure a way out of for him. But she will never stop trying — that is who Phyllis is.

Phyllis wants to step up where her granddaughter is concerned, in way she always wanted to for Daniel and did for Summer. Phyllis wants to help Lucy get to know her better since they haven't spent a ton of time together. She has stories to tell.

It looks like Phyllis is officially taking Lucy under her wing. Will this be good news for Lucy and Genoa City? Phyllis certainly has a lot of good traits but she certainly has shown a lot of questionable ones to those around her over the years.
