Once again, Phyllis looks like butter wouldn’t melt and Amanda looks more than a little fed up with her friend. Given Phylis’s insistence on getting a face-to-face meeting with her pal’s new boss, the mysterious and enigmatic Aristotle Dumas, the pair are still likely not seeing eye to eye.

Amanda places a call, and from her expression, it doesn’t appear to be very good news. The attorney is probably phoning her boss, but is she relaying whatever Phyllis is up to or is there other urgent news to share?

Claire and Kyle (Michael Mealor) are all smiles as they prepare for Nikki’s big birthday party, during which he’s supposed to make some grand gesture that will convince Victor to approve of his granddaughter’s relationship with the Abbott. Hopefully, he’s got something impressive planned.

It was Claire’s idea to have Kyle do something special at Nikki’s birthday bash to win Victor over, but he’s naturally wary of the whole arrangement. Perhaps he’s having second thoughts about coming up with something that will truly sway Victor’s opinion?

In order to secure financing from Victor for her new cosmetics company, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) has been forced to cause trouble for the happy new couple, though sometimes she doesn't seem to mind that much. And Holden (Nathan Owens) is intrigued by all the back and forth. Audra is more than happy to twist the knife a little extra, though Kyle continues to insist he doesn't consider Vibrante competition for Jabot.
