Childhood photo: “Obviously, I don’t remember taking this photo, but it was from when my mom and dad tried to get me and my brother into modeling when we were younger. Everyone has the same reaction when they see it, like, ‘Oh. My. God!’ But I don’t mind it. My dad actually tried to put this on my IMDB page when I first started on the show. I was like, ‘No, please don’t put my baby pictures on there!’ I guess I was trying to bust out that soap smolder early.”

On the GH set with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), 2011: “Oh, my gosh. This was taken my first day on the show and the look on my face is genuine to how I was feeling that day — absolutely terrified because I was so nervous! So, that’s the look on my face. Now, the hair.... That was a mistake. It looks like a pumpkin or something. I cut it, like, two days later. Dominic had some long locks, too; he looks like a young Scott Baio. But I can’t really make fun of his hair because mine was so bad.”

Hunks of ABC Daytime photo shoot, 2011: “What I most remember is that I was not in good shape at that time and they had to Photoshop muscles onto me! Also, it was painfully freezing. They started blasting ice on us while we were sitting there. It was extremely crazy, but it was a cool experience to meet everyone and to go out to New York for it.”

With Maurice Benard (Sonny) and GH guest star Alexis Bellino from THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY, 2012: “This is very, ‘Hey, look at this piece of paper and pretend it’s important.’ We had to pose like we were actually reading something, but I don’t even know if there was anything on that page! I do remember meeting her. She was cool and it’s always fun and interesting seeing people try their hand at doing daytime.”

Rehearsing for the Nurses’ Ball with his GH castmates, 2014: “I’m good at dancing, but I’m not good at choreography, so the guys were teasing me. It was a fun teasing, though. I was proud of myself for getting through it — but I’m also glad that I haven’t had to do it for the last couple of years!”

Winning the Daytime Emmy For Outstanding Supporting Actor, 2015: “I really didn’t know what to expect when they called my name because I’d been nominated before and lost; you kind of think, ‘Oh, I have a shot at this one,’ and then you don’t win, so I was keeping my expectations lower that year. It’s overwhelming at first and then you realize, ‘Oh, I’ve got to say something!’ I started out by doing the Matthew McConaughey, ‘All right, all right, all right’ thing. I don’t know what I was thinking! Then I started stuttering and rushing through everything. But it was really cool and surreal to be up there. It was a great feeling that I’ll always remember.”

With puppy Bella, 2015: “This was right after getting her. She’s an amazing dog and I still try to bring her everywhere I can. She’s the sweetest and I’m very blessed. It’s so crazy because dogs, like kids, grow at a slow pace, but then you have a dog who is 65 pounds and you look back and go, ‘Holy crap, she could fit in my hand!’ She’s a big teddy bear now.”
