EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) continues to host Rafe (Galen Gering) in his underground lair — known as the secret room in the DiMera mansion. Rafe has been tied up for a while as Arnold runs loose above ground pretending to be him.

Is EJ throwing a makeshift birthday party just to get Rafe's goat? He seems intent on humiliating his captive, but EJ may soon regret poking this particular bear. After all, Rafe is a pretty resourceful man who has a lot of training in law enforcement. Did Rafe blow out the candle and make a wish?

Yep, it looks like Rafe was just biding his time and now he is making a move to get the best of an unsuspecting EJ. Rafe has all the motivation in the world as his wedding to Jada quickly approaches. He wants to get back to the woman he loves.

It looks like Rafe got his birthday wish because EJ looks down for the count and the captive looks to be free. Is this really happening? Is Rafe actually free to escape the confines of the DiMera mansion or is this just a fantasy?
