More casting changes at Y&R. Noemi Gonzalez (Mia) has announced on social media that she will soon be leaving the soap. The actress posted on Instagram, “it’s been a pleasure ???? thankful, blessed, & honored. Gracias a Dios for this life-changing experience. One more month of Mia in Genoa City, stay tuned for what’s next!! ❤️?” Rey’s trouble-making wife, who first appeared on November 12, was created by former Executive Producer/Head Writer Mal Young but once he left last December, the character’s days in Genoa City were rumored to be numbered. Her co-star, Jason Canela (Arturo), another hiree under the Young regime, revealed last month that he was wrapping up his stint after being on the show for a little over a year.
