The Bold and the Beautiful Casting Shocker: Darin Brooks and Denise Richards Back as Wyatt and Shauna!
The Bold and the Beautiful is welcoming back two familiar faces as Darin Brooks and Denise Richards are set to return to the roles of Wyatt Spencer and Shauna Fulton. The casting shocker was revealed at the end of the show on Friday when the former cast members appeared in a preview of next week’s episodes.
Darin Brooks and Denise Richards Return
Brooks made his debut on B&B back in 2013 in the role of Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) secret son with Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). He was already an established name in the daytime world, having taken home a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Younger Actor for his work as Max Brady on Days of Our Lives, where he starred from 2005-10. He earned an additional nomination as Outstanding Supporting Actor for the role of the unlucky-in-love Wyatt, and outside of daytime, he starred as Alex Moran on Blue Mountain State.
In 2023, Brooks confirmed that he was no longer on contract at B&B in an Instagram post, writing, “after 10 amazing years, it’s time for me to say ‘Until we meet again…’ to Wyatt Spencer.” He popped up for a handful of final appearances in January 2024 and in February 2026, he revealed in an interview with TV Insider that he had been having casual conversations with B&B’s head writer and executive producer, Brad Bell, about the possibility of reprising Wyatt. “We don’t know what’s on the horizon yet, but I’m open to it,” he said of a potential comeback.
As for Richards, she joined the cast of B&B in 2019 as Shauna, the mother of Wyatt’s love interest, Flo (Katrina Bowden). This marked Richards’ first foray into daytime drama, but the actress had been a household name for decades with her work in movies like Starship Troopers, Wild Things, The World Is Not Enough, and Drop Dead Gorgeous and later, as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her B&B run ended in 2021, though she came back briefly in 2022.
The length of the duo’s visit and their first air date remains a mystery for now.
