Soaps’ Most Beautiful Women – Rena Sofer
What was your reaction to being named one of daytime’s most beautiful women!
“I was obviously very touched. Soaps are known for having the most beautiful women on the earth, so to be seen that way is an amazing and wonderful blessing.”
How do you take care of your skin?
“I was a late bloomer when it came to taking care of my skin. None of it was really my thing until I got older, like, ‘Oh, God, I’m aging, I don’t want to do that!’ That’s when it started to get important. I use a lot of Ole Henriksen. I go to get facials every few months, and I use some of the Meaningful Beauty products, which is Cindy Crawford’s company. That woman doesn’t age.”
When it comes to makeup, what are your must-haves?
“My biggest must-have is lip stuff, like Nivea, because my lips always get dry.”
Do you have a memorable beauty blunder from back in the day?
“A perm. I mean, I’m from Jersey. That’s always the biggest beauty blunder.”
Are you brand loyal or do you like to try different things?
“I don’t love to experiment because I have sensitive skin and I break out easily, so I tend to use the same products I’ve been using for years.”
Do you prefer your hair long or short? “I think my hair is just better long. It softens things for me.”
How do you handle a bad hair day?
“A bun or a ponytail. Nice and easy.”
What are your thoughts about plastic surgery?
“I think if you want to do something, do it. It’s none of my business. Hey, I get it. I don’t mind a little Botox.”
