The 47th president of the United States will be inaugurated on Monday so most soap fans know what that means! Expect your regularly scheduled soap opera programming to be interrupted, as the networks will be carrying live coverage of the event itself, as well as its lead-in and post-inauguration commentary. Of course, there are different time zones so will a soap air on the West Coast that doesn’t air on the East Coast? Days of Our Lives
No need for DAYS fans to worry that the national events will interrupt things in Salem — because the soap is on a streaming platform, it will air brand-new episode. General Hospital
The ABC soap will be completely pre-empted by the network’s news coverage. On Tuesday, when the soap resumes, you will see Willow voicing her regrets. Has her mother’s words finally gotten through to her? Or is it someone else who has influenced the easily influenced young woman? Also, Sonny and Ava clash. Avery’s parents continue to not see things the same. Sasha has an update for Maxie. Lastly, Tracy stonewalls Anna while Carly is grateful to Brennan.
Young and Restless
The CBS soap will be completely pre-empted by the network’s news coverage. On Tuesday, when the show resumes, expect to see that Victor is suspicious of Nikki’s actions, which he has a right to be. She’s keeping the fact that she knows Jordan is back from her husband but only because her granddaughter Claire insisted that she do so. Also Nick and Chance follow a lead to find Sharon. They need to act fast because the drugged water she’s been drinking has caused her to collapse in the underground lair. Lastly, watch as Claire gains Jordan’s trust. Bold and Beautiful
The CBS soap will be completely pre-empted by the network’s news coverage. On Tuesday, when the show resumes, expect to see Li doubles down with Jack and Poppy about Luna’s paternity and Liam is suspicious of Bill as Bill hides Luna.
