New Soap Digital Series Set To Debut
STUDIO CITY, a new digital series created by daytime vet Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon, B&B et al), makes its debut on December 20 on Amazon Prime. The series features other daytime notables including Carolyn Hennesy (Diane, GH), Sarah Brown (ex-Carly, GH et al), Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy, DAYS et al), Tristan Rogers (Robert, GH) and Scott Turner Schofield (ex-Nick, B&B). “STUDIO CITY a love letter to soaps,” says Kanan in a statement. The actor stars as Sam Stevens, a soap opera actor trying to navigate his own tumultuous personal life. “Each episode gives fans a double dose of storyline by weaving in clips from the fictional soap-within-the-show … Soap operas have been an integral part of my life and I wanted to create a project that reflected my deep affection for the enormous talent behind their continued success and longevity,” Kanan states.
