Loren Lott and Chene’ Lawson Return To Y&R For Devon’s Wedding

The More The Merrier: Loren Lott (Ana) and Chene’ Lawson (Harmony), pictured with Bryton James (Devon), return for Abby and Devon’s wedding.
It will be a family reunion for Devon when he marries Abby soon on Young and Restless! Loren Lott (Ana Hamilton) and Chene’ Lawson (Harmony aka Yolanda Hamilton) are confirmed to reprise their roles when his half sister, Ana, and biological mother, Harmony, return to Genoa City for the big wedding. Both will appear for several episodes beginning with Y&R 13,000th episode, which is set to air on Wednesday, November 13.
Catching Up
Lawson first appeared on Y&R from 2005-06 and was last seen on the show in May 2023, when Harmony returned home to surprise Devon. “It was like stepping into a time machine, because even after 18 years, Chene’ looks exactly the same as she did in the last scenes we filmed,” remarked James at the time. Of working opposite Lawson, he added, “It was one of those amazing moments on stage when you truly don’t have to act, you just look at each other, and all of the history and love comes right to the surface.” Lawson is the co-creator, executive producer and director, as well as a cast member, of the scripted sci-fi podcast All Things Undone (ATU), which won the 2023 Webby Award for “Best Scripted Podcast Series.”
Before Lawson reclaimed the role last year, Daytime Emmy-winning soap vet Debbi Morgan played Harmony from 2010-11.
As for Lott, she last appeared on Y&R in 2019. She recently guest-starred on the CW’s All American:Homecoming, had a lead role in the film Praise This and will guest-star on Based on a True Story, streaming next month on Peacock.
When speaking with Digest around the time of her Genoa City exit, Lott said, “Everyone has told me how much they love me and showered me with so much encouragement. Y&R is still my family forever.” She brought that point home when Digest caught up with her in 2022, saying, “I absolutely fell in love with Bryton, who played my brother. It was a dream working with him and forming a friendship that has lasted since the show. We still hang out, he’s still my big brother, and he still gives me so much guidance in this industry.”
There was another element to her time on Y&R that gave Lott a great deal of joy. “I’m grateful for every storyline I participated in and every song I got to sing. How cool that I got to sing and act on TV.” So will Lott get the chance to sing again — this time at her on-screen brother’s wedding? Stay tuned.
