HUGE SPOILER ALERT: MICHELLE STAFFORD JOINS GH!
As fans who took in GH's East Coast broadcast now know, GH has landed Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis, Y&R) to play the role of Silas's not-so-dead wife, Nina Clay — and her stint began at the end of today's episode. Expect Nina's entree to spell trouble for Sam and Silas. Solving her "murder", Head Writer Ron Carlivati says, "made this couple stronger and they are sort of enjoying their happiness. The big turn of events that might affect this is that before Madeline is hauled off to New York to face trial, she tells Nathan that Nina is still alive, that she lied to get the will for probate so that she can get the money [Nina's sizable estate]." The casting is a coup for GH, as all four soaps (including Y&R) are rumored to have made bids for the two-time Emmy-winning actress.
