Gus and Harley discussed her attempt at easing up on Daisy, but Harley admitted she was only giving her daughter the illusion that she was trusting her. Daisy came downstairs, all gussied up in her new dress then Leah suddenly arrived. Apparently Harley had also arranged for her to attend the dance with Daisy, who then called Harley out on making Leah tag along to “spy” on her. “So much for the illusion,” Gus cracked. Leah said she had to split and Daisy sarcastically said she was upset to miss walking into the dance with a freshman. Leah retorted by calling Daisy a druggie and left. Harley found out about the stolen-watch situation, but let Daisy off the hook. When Bobby’s mom called saying Bobby couldn’t make the dance, Daisy said she wasn’t going at all, but then Gus volunteered to accompany her. Daisy was pleased.
At the police station, Frank discovered that the bullet pulled from Alan’s chest came from a very unusual gun: a vintage Luger.
At the Lewises, Josh and Cassie discussed their recent engagement; Cassie wondered how Reva would take the news. Josh said he would tell her himself. Meanwhile, ghost Tammy visited Cassie one last time to tell her mom congratulations and good-bye. Cassie begged Tammy to stay, but she reassured her mom that she would always be in her heart and it was time to move on; she vanished. Crying, Cassie answered the door. It was Frank, who wanted to know if she could come to the police station with him. She wrote a note for Josh and left.
Once at the station, Frank told Marina that Josh had a gun just like the vintage Luger. When he brought it up to Cassie, she was very confused and wondered why they weren’t discussing Alan. Then Josh showed up, heard the news about the gun and told Cassie to not say anything else to Frank. Meanwhile, Marina viewed a videotape from outside a parking garage on the night of the shooting, hoping that it would reveal something. Frank showed the tape to Josh and Cassie. They were mortified when the tape revealed Cassie holding a gun.
Reva and Billy hugged (in terry cloth robes!) in a room at the Beacon. (Reva had paid him a random visit earlier claiming she didn’t want to spend the night alone). Reva called him her best friend. He was confused, but said it was a title he wore with pride. Later, Josh showed up and was equally puzzled, asking if he was interrupting something between his bro and Reva; they laughed it off, saying no. When he shared his big news, Reva was visibly shocked, offered congratulations. Over a celebratory glass of champagne, Reva told Josh he was always the marrying kind and needed the stability in his life and a good woman like Cassie. After Josh left, Billy was amazed by Reva’s performance saying she had just given Josh a “load of horse plucky.” Then a tearful Reva threw her champagne flute against the door, exclaiming “That’s how I really feel!” Reva continued to freak out about the news and broke down to Billy, adding that she felt she was so close to reuniting with him, but then Tammy’s death happened. When she tried to tell herself that she had a life of her own, separate from Josh’s, Billy held her and told her it was okay. He knew that she loved Josh. Reva ranted about seeing Cassie’s dress and ring and everything, then said she was FREE. She could do anything she wanted now and then tried to convince herself that she was excited about it.
On Main Street, Gus assured Daisy she’d be fine at the dance. She made a Carrie reference, saying she was afraid of having pig’s blood dumped on her. When Leah walked by with her group of friends, she tossed a snooty glare in Daisy’s direction. Then Daisy started talking about how sad she was to have made Gus and Harley lose Sydney. Gus let her know (again) that it wasn’t her fault; Daisy thanked him. Gus continued to give her a big-brotherly lecture, claiming he could totally relate to her high school anxiety and difficulty fitting in. When Gus suggested she better get going to the dance, Daisy said she wasn’t up to it and suggested they do something else. They left to get a slice. Later, Daisy admitted that the guys in her class weren’t really her type while Gus admitted that he wanted the best for her. Then, Daisy daydreamed about dancing with Gus!
Gus called Harley, who was at Towers, to tell her the news. When he asked where she was, Harley covered and said she was at the store. Then Dylan (Daisy’s dad!) walked in. He was in town for a business meeting and wanted to get the scoop on his daughter’s behavior. Harley began to tell him about her bad-girl rep, then the two sat down and Dylan wondered what would’ve happened to them if things turned out a little differently. He admitted that he and Bridget were getting a divorce, but that Peter was great. Harley told Dylan that they needed to get Daisy under control before she grew up too fast like they did.
