GENERAL HOSPITAL’S SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY EPISODE
GH celebrates its 52nd birthday today, and it promises to be a memorable hour — the show is both promising resolution on the "Fluke" front by revealing the childhood trauma that caused Luke's psyche to shatter, and is also recreating aspects of its pilot episode from April 1, 1963, recasting the iconic roles of Steve, Jessie and Phil with current players Jason Thompson (Patrick), Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth) and Ryan Carnes (Lucas), respectively. (All three actors, along with Executive Producer Frank Valentini, will be live-tweeting at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.) Says Head Writer Ron Carlivati, "We’re at the point where we’re really ready to have the answers all come out. We just thought it would be very fitting to explore on the anniversary show; since that is such an important day for the audience and Luke is such an important character with a long history, it seemed like a fitting time to reveal the truth about Luke."
