General Hospital Star Kate Mansi Heads to the Silver Screen in New Movie, Casa Grande
Fans of General Hospital star Kate Mansi (Kristina) can soon see the Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress on the big screen in the upcoming movie Casa Grande, which is premiering in theaters on Friday, May 1. Deadline broke the news of the release date of the film, which is a feature version of the television series of the same name that originally streamed on Freevee back in 2023.
Fighting Back
Casa Grande is directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz and centers around a daughter who returns to her family’s home during a time when her ailing father is engaged in a battle with a powerful rival who wants to take the family property at any cost. Mansi, who played Hunter Clarkman in the streaming series, is returning for the film and will star alongside Lou Diamond Phillips, John Pyper-Ferguson, Madison Lawlor, Christina Moore, Javier Bolaños, Daniel Edward Mora, Loren Escandon, Bruce Davison, Shalim Ortiz, and Charley Debenedetti.
Executive producer on the film is the co-creator and show runner of the original Casa Grande series, Lauren Swickard, wife of GH star Josh Swickard (Chase). The actress also wrote and produced the popular Netflix movies A California Christmas and its sequel, A California Christmas: City Lights. She also briefly appeared on the Port Charles scene in 2023 as Janice, a nurse at Ferncliff during Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) stint as a patient.
“Every team is only as good as its leader,” Mansi shared on Instagram back in April 2025 with some behind-the-scenes photos during the making of Casa Grande. “Juan Pablo, you raise the bar for us all. Endlessly grateful for this experience together.”
Mansi joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Abigail Deveraux back in 2011 and earned a Daytime Emmy Award in 2017 for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work. After appearing in the Casa Grande series, she joined the cast of GH in 2023 as the new Kristina Corinthos. Recently, Mansi has also stepped behind the camera to direct some episodes of the soap.
