General Hospital Recap: Sidwell Exposes ‘Nathan’ as Cassius
Secrets came to light on the Monday, June 29, episode of General Hospital! Anna (Finola Hughes) worked to convince Felicia (Kristina Wagner) that there was an impostor amongst them; Sidwell (Carlo Rota) revealed Cassius’s (Ryan Paevey) true identity, Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) the truth about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) regrouped after her near abduction and much more. Check out how it all went down below.
Double Trouble
In France, Felicia was skeptical of Anna’s claim that “Nathan” was actually his twin brother, Cassius. Anna explained that when she’d escaped the clinic and stolen the car, she’d gone to Faison’s chateau on the Swiss border. There, she found a letter Liesl’s sister, Madeline, had written to him, discussing the newborn boy she was giving to him to raise.
Even when Anna showed her the letter, Felicia was unconvinced, since the note made no mention of Cassius being Nathan’s identical twin. When Anna pressed her, she did acknowledge that “Nathan” had done a few things, such as date Lulu, that seemed out of character. Anna was disappointed that Felicia didn’t believe her, but asked her friend to consider the possibility that Cassius was impersonating his brother for James’s sake.

Outside in the courtyard, Mac told Emma that while her grandmother seemed to be doing better, Dr. Laurent still had concerns about her mental health. Even though Anna wasn’t returning home with them, Emma remained hopeful that her grandmother would be released soon. Felicia joined them and handed Mac Madeline’s letter. After Mac read it, he and Felicia attempted to reach Cody. The call went straight to voicemail, so Felicia left an urgent message asking Cody to keep James away from Nathan.
Meanwhile, Anna confided to Emma that her gut was telling her she was right about Cassius. But when a concerned Emma questioned what would happen if she was wrong, Anna sadly professed, “Oh, honey, I don’t know. Maybe I am really crazy.”

At Stake
At the PCPD, Joe and Justine discussed Willow’s reaction to learning that her car’s trip log placed her on Route 91 on the night of the Ashford accident, with Justine scoffing that the congresswoman had only acted surprised because she’d been caught. She then got word that Britt had been taken into custody in the British Virgin Islands. Joe was curious about why Dante didn’t want the FBI or WSB involved in Rocco’s disappearance. He then headed over to the stakeout at Sidwell’s property, and Justine put the S.W.A.T. team on standby.
Over at Wyndemere, Cassius told Cullum that the PCPD was staking out the property where Laura and Jordan suspected Sidwell might be hiding out. Cullum ordered Cassius to oversee the stakeout himself and kill their partner, noting that Sidwell has become a liability because of his grief over Marco. In exchange, Cullum promised Cassius half of the profits once the project was complete… but if he didn’t kill Sidwell, he warned, then Josslyn and Liesl were as good as dead.

Later, “Nathan” joined Joe at the stakeout. Joe informed him that Britt had been arrested in Tortola for kidnapping and was being extradited to the U.S. When “Nathan” asked how his sister’s health was, Joe didn’t have an update, but shared that that the syringe that had been found in Britt’s room contained saline — a substance that, while harmless, would not have helped to treat a serious condition such as Huntington’s. Before Cassius could process that information, Ezra pulled up to the house and let Sidwell out of the trunk of the car.
When he spotted Sidwell, Cassius blocked Joe from alerting Justine to call in the S.W.A.T. team. Instead, he told his colleague that there was likely a leak in the department (not disclosing that it was actually him) and said they should try to take Sidwell down themselves.

Time’s Up
Once Jenz and Ezra were inside the house, Sidwell declared that he refused to leave town until he found and destroyed his son’s killer. He made it clear that he expected Ezra to help him. When Ezra questioned why Cullum wasn’t assisting on that front, Jenz huffed that his partner was probably hoping the PCPD or Sonny would take him out so Cullum could reap the rewards of their project himself.
“Nathan” and Joe then entered the home, and when Joe informed Sidwell that he was under arrest, Jenz called Cassius by his real name, ordering him to shoot Det. Fitzpatrick. Joe accused Sidwell of being confused, the criminal laughed maniacally and exposed Cassius Faison’s true identity as his partner in crime. As Ezra looked on in shock and Sidwell smiled gleefully, Cassius turned his gun on Joe. Telling him he was sorry, he demanded that Det. Fitzpatrick drop his weapon.

Water Works
Cody and Molly took James, who was staying with them while Mac and Felicia were out of town, to the Metro Court pool. James accidentally got Cody’s phone wet, rendering it unusable, so Felicia’s call never came through. As the conversation turned to the book launch party Ric and Alexis were planning for her, Molly shuddered to Cody that she didn’t want her parents to become romantically involved again because of how toxic they were to one another while she was growing up. For now, Ric was happy with Elizabeth, Molly noted, and she hoped her mother found someone, too.

Look Away
At Pozzulo’s, Alexis told Sonny about Danny’s attempt to break into the WSB office to try to get in contact with Jason and asked him to speak to Danny. When Sonny learned that Cullum had been involved with reprimanding Danny, he warned her that the WSB director was the person who killed Marco. They agreed that Danny could never find out that Cullum was dirty, knowing Danny would want to expose Cullum to vindicate Jason.
Later, Justine stopped by to warn Sonny that Sidwell might still be in town and that the PCPD was currently staking out the potential safehouse. She urged Sonny to watch his back, sure that Sidwell wanted payback for Sonny’s part in his arrest. Sonny assured her that he’d be ready. Justine replied that she wouldn’t be able to look the other way if he hunted Sidwell down and killed him, and he said that he wouldn’t expect her to.

Best Friends Forever
After Danny helped Charlotte escape from the WSB agent who was about to abduct her, the teens booked it to the Quartermaine boathouse. Charlotte suspected that Cullum was trying to use her to get to her father, which Danny took as a positive sign that the WSB director didn’t know Valentin had gone to headquarters in Geneva. Charlotte and Danny mended fences after their earlier argument and were plotting their next move when he got a call from Alexis, who wanted to warn him about Cullum. Not wanting to leave Charlotte, Danny informed his grandmother that he needed to help a friend.
