General Hospital Comings & Goings: Finn Carr’s Brother, Elliott, Dishes Appearance as Nurse Grant
On General Hospital on Monday, June 1, Elliott Carr — whose brother, Finn Carr, has been playing Rocco Falconeri on the show since 2022 — will appear in the role of Grant, a nurse tending to Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) at Turning Woods. The siblings dished about making GH a family affair in a new joint interview with TV Insider.
The More The Merrier
When Executive Producer Frank Valentini found out that Finn’s brother was also an actor, “He decided to bring me in, just to see what my acting chops were like and if there might be a place for me on the show,” Elliott explained. A few months after coming in for an audition, he got a call letting him know he’d been selected to appear in a one-episode role — and when his little brother found out, “I screamed,” Finn reported. “I was very excited, but then also sad that we weren’t going to be in the same scenes together.”
Soon, Elliott was reporting to the set for his scenes, feature both Chris McKenna and Cynthia Watros (Nina). Elliott confessed, “I was name-dropping my brother a little bit, and every single person was saying, ‘Oh, we love Finn so much.'” He added proudly, “Finn has set such a great example there and has built up such a good reputation on his own that it made it really easy for me to come in and just be accepted by everybody just because I’m his brother, which was nice.”
Elliott came away from his experience on the set with a deepened respect for what the GH cast and crew accomplish in a day. “These actors are troopers, the way they’re able to just go through so much material so quickly,” he marveled. “That’s not something I am used to. And just the amount of material that you have to learn and be ready for is super impressive.”
While the siblings don’t cross storyline paths this time around, both Carrs said they would welcome the opportunity to be in the same scenes — especially as adversaries, which would be a stark departure from the harmonious dynamic they enjoy in real life. “My brother and I are pretty far in age, so we’ve always gotten along pretty well,” Elliott noted. “We’re not having little quarrels with each other, really ever, so I think having a conflict would be cool.”
Elliott’s is not the first sibling of a GH cast member to pop in for an appearance. In 2022, actress Helena Mattsson briefly assumed the role of Sasha Gilmore, stepping in for her real-life sister, Sofia Mattsson.
