Congratulations to The Los Angeles Dodgers, who are headed to the World Series for the first time in 29 years, and to Kiké Hernandez, who hit three home runs last night to get them there. The baseball superstar appeared on B&B on September 12, 2016 in scenes with Jacob Young (Rick), Karla Mosley (Maya), Rome Flynn (ex-Zende) and Reign Edwards (Nicole). Here’s a look back on what he told Digest about his guest star gig: “It was during one of our days off and I said, ‘Sure, why not?’ Since I was a little kid, I always wanted to be a baseball player and my plan B was to be an actor. People were sure I was kidding. My [now-fiancée Mariana Paola Vicente] is an actress, so I know how hard it is to break into the business. People go to school for that and my only experience in that area has been my cameo on B&B. Maybe after baseball, if there is an opportunity, sure. It would be awesome, but right now, I’m not really thinking about it much.” The ballplayer says he was focused on doing a good job on the soap. “I wasn’t nervous but maybe a little anxious because I didn’t want to mess up,” he admitted. “This is their job, but it was just something that I was doing for fun. I know how serious they take it, so I didn’t want to do something wrong. So, I wasn’t nervous but there was a little pressure not to ruin their scene. But, if turned out good and I had a lot of fun doing it.”
