Ex-GH Star Arrested
Rick Springfield (ex-Noah/Eli, GH) was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Los Angeles the evening of May 1, reports TMZ.com. According to the site, Springfield was pulled over by the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. around 8:00 p.m. for a traffic violation. When officers approached the vehicle, they noticed the smell of alcohol and asked Springfield to perform several field sobriety tests. TMZ cites law enforcement sources who indicated Springfield was breathalyzed twice, and his blood alcohol content was measured at .10 and .08. The legal limit in California is .08. Springfield was booked and later released on $5,000 bail. Earlier that day, he appeared at The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, promoting his autobiography Late, Late At Night.
