The stars of EMPIRE aligned to write a group letter to execs at Disney and Fox, requesting that Jussie Smollett (Jamal) continue to be a part of the series moving forward, reports www.deadline.com. Smolett was written out of the last two episodes of season five, due to the actor’s headline-grabbing legal issues, which occurred earlier this year. Click here to read the letter in its entirety.
