Dimitri on Days of Our Lives — Everything You Need To Know

If you’re wondering who Dimitri is on Days of Our Lives, it’s understandable because he hasn’t been in Salem for a while. The character first appeared in the spinoff, Beyond Salem in 2021, and was actually going by a different name. He then appeared on DAYS proper from May 2023 until December of that year before making a surprise return in January 2026. The character is played by Peter Porte, who CBS soap fans will remember as Ricky Williams on Young and Restless. He has also appeared in shows like Devious Maids, Baby Daddy, Telenovela, and New Girl. 

Kyle Graham was a handsome ISA agent who quickly began clashing with Billie Reed as he was sent in as her backup to help obtain one of the gems that make up the Alamainian Peacock. After obtaining one of the gems, the pair headed to Phoenix, where Kyle was more interested in getting their hands on the emerald than meeting Will Horton and Sonny Kiriakis. Leaving the boys to get the emerald, the agents flirted their way to Amsterdam to track down Kristen DiMera. Although Kristen gave them the slip, Kyle was so impressed with Billie that he planted a kiss on her, willing to break the no fraternizing between agents rule!

Once all the stolen gems were recovered, Kyle and Shane Donovan took them away. But then it was revealed that it wasn’t really Shane, but his twin brother, Drew! And when John Black accused Kyle of being Drew’s partner, the agent revealed that his real name is Dimitri von Leuschner, cousin of Carly Manning and Frankie Brady. He declared that the Alamanian Peacock belonged to his family… Especially since it can activate satellites armed with deadly lasers to force countries around the world to pay for protection! Luckily, the good guys managed to thwart Dimitri and Drew’s evil plan, and they were taken into custody.

However, Dimitri made an unexpected return in May 2023 when it was revealed that he was the one holding Kate Roberts hostage on the fishing boat! After Chad DiMera, Steve Johnson, and Harris Michaels rescued her, he revealed that not only was he Megan DiMera‘s son, but he had another hostage — Andrew Donovan! That leverage set Dimitri and Megan free, and she immediately put her son to the task of marrying an eligible young woman in order to receive his von Leuschner inheritance. Megan initially suggested he marry his cousin, Kristen, but she and Dimitri flatly refused. She then pushed him towards Gwen Risczech, and he quickly wooed her into bed and then popped the question. Her BFF, Leo Stark, urged her not to rush into this, and Gwen asked Dimitri for time to consider his proposal. Though it didn’t take her long to decide to say yes!

Dimitri set the wedding date before his birthday to ensure his inheritance, and when Leo discovered the truth behind his scheme, Dimitri shut him up with a kiss! After they slept together, Leo suggested that they could marry instead, but Dimitri explained that while he wasn’t straight, the codicil was clear that he had to marry a woman. Confessing his feelings for Leo, Dimitri convinced him to keep quiet about this. Unfortunately, Kristen found out because Rachel overheard them talking and shared the gossip with her mom. Kristen promised Dimitri her silence in exchange for Megan’s share of his inheritance now that his mother was out of the picture,  and he had no choice but to agree.

The night before the wedding, Gwen was shocked to find her fiancé half-naked with her best friend, and Leo lied that he was trying on suits with Dimitri. At the wedding, Leo interrupted the ceremony, but then changed his mind and let them tie the knot. Leo even secretly joined them on their honeymoon so he and Dimitri could continue seeing each other, and they thought they were getting away with it until it was revealed that Gwen had figured it out and was plotting to steal the von Leuschner fortune out from under her husband.

When Stefan DiMera and Gabi Hernandez learned the truth, they tried to blackmail Dimitri into handing over his shares of the family business. He plotted to kill them, but Vivian Alamain shot him in the back. After escaping the hospital, Dimitri tried to go on the run with Leo, but they got in a car accident with Nicole Walker and helped her give birth on the side of the road. Dimitri took the infant and gave it to Sloan Petersen to pass on to EJ and Nicole, but she ended up claiming it as her own. Although Megan offered Dimitri a path to freedom, he opted to turn himself in when Leo was arrested in his place.

Before being sent to prison, Dimitri told Leo about Sloan stealing the baby, and after a year, he was released. He moved to New York and sent Leo a letter explaining he was breaking up with him because he’d met someone new. However, when he showed up at Leo and Javi Hernandez’s wedding on New Year’s 2026, Dimitri revealed that he’d actually been kidnapped and forced at gunpoint to write the letter. Suspecting Gwen had arranged all of this chaos, Dimitri vowed revenge, declaring that he would divorce her and leave her penniless.
