Beyond The Gates Spoilers Video Promo: ‘This May Not Stay Covered for Long’
Father Knows Best?
The action in the Beyond the Gates spoilers preview video for the week of July 21 opens in Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) office as his daughter Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) storms in, surprising the usually unflappable lawyer. “I’ve been calling you for hours. I cannot believe how you put us in this position,” she admonishes.
Another Confrontation
Ted (Keith D. Robinson) is talking with his estranged wife Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix). The office shows the signs of a celebration gone wrong. “I know how this looks,” he says, a bit sheepish. “Then you will understand why I’m taking these next steps,” she responds coldly while all he can do is nod.
A Hard Truth
The scene switches to the Dupree home, where Martin (Brandon Claybon) is speaking with his grandparents, Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis). His aunt Dani (Karla Mosley) is also present. “I could lose my family for good,” he says, the gravity of the last several hours finally hitting him hard. His husband, Smitty (Mike Manning), had finally reached his breaking point after being kept in the dark for over two years about something as serious as Martin killing one man and nearly killing another to protect his grandfather.
Harsh Payback
Over a scene of Eva (Ambyr Michelle) kissing Tomas (Alex Alegria), Ted can be heard telling Kat (Colby Muhammad) the exact opposite. “Eva wouldn’t go after Tomas when she knows you’re seeing him. That’s not who she is,” he assures his daughter.
Choosing a Side
Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) are in the middle of a heated discussion at home. “I have never been more proud to be a Dupree when I’m defending us. And the last time I checked, you were one of us,” she tells Jacob emphatically. Something big is happening because when the scene switches to the Dupree home, Naomi is giving legal advice to her grandparents, Anita and Vernon. “I think you need to prepare for this. This may not stay covered for long,” Naomi warns.
Taking Over
Bill is trying to drive home a point to his former sister-in-law, Nicole. “I’m the one that saved your baby boy,” he says pointedly. “I am the fixer now,” Nicole fires back, emphasizing every word with precision.
