Beyond The Gates Spoilers Video Promo: Leslie Declares That ‘The Fight Has Just Begun!’
Sibling Rivalry
The action in the Beyond the Gates spoilers preview video for the week of July 28 opens with Eva (Ambyr Michelle) paying her mother Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) a visit at her apartment. “I am tired of fighting,” Eva declares, obviously exasperated by the combative nature of her relationship with her half sister Kat (Colby Muhammad). Her mother quickly interrupts and says, “She’s your sister, Baby! The fight has just begun.”
Leslie’s not kidding. Kat is complaining just as vehemently to their mutual father, Ted (Keith D. Robinson), about Eva and her evil mother. “Leslie and Eva are still here, determined to ruin our lives every chance they get,” Kat tells Ted. Will she also tell Ted about everything she’s done to try to get Leslie — and, by extension, Eva — out of their lives for good?
A Vivid Shade of Green
Elsewhere, Dani (Karla Mosley) is talking with Andre (Sean Freeman) at the Dupree family home. “You’re just hanging out in my parents’ foyer,” she jokes — until a sudden realization hits. “Don’t tell me you’re here asking my dad for my hand in marriage,” she says to Andre, half-joking, half-nervous. She may quickly regret making that assumption. The next scene shows Ashley (Jen Jacob) dressed for a night on the town as she enters a bar. Suddenly, the scene shifts to Ashley already seated, as Andre takes her by the hand and leads her to the dance floor.
The Big Event
Next, some of the Dupree women — Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla), Kat and Samantha (Najah Jackson) — are watching old footage of their grandmother Anita (Tamara Tunie) in action with The Articulettes. “Every time I see videos of The Articulettes in their heyday…” Kat begins before Naomi interrupts her to finish her sentence, “It still blows your mind, doesn’t it?” Then a voice cries out, “That’s our grandma!” just as the scene shifts to a first glimpse of their much-anticipated reunion concert!
