Beyond the Gates Spoilers Video Promo: ‘Always Knew You Had a Crush on My Wife’

Needing Allies

The action in the Beyond the Gates spoilers preview video for the week of October 27 opens at the Fairmont Crest Country Club, where Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) is sitting at one table as she talks with Hayley (Marquita Goings), who is seated nearby. “Imagine what we can accomplish if we pulled our resources,” she tells Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) wife. She may be a grifter, but Hayley looks down her nose at the other woman.

Hanging Out

Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) and Eva (Ambyr Michelle) run into each other again at Uptown. The attraction between them is palpable. “If you’re looking to hang out with someone until we both figure things out, I’m down for that,” Eva shares. Izaiah appears intrigued as he tells her, “Sounds like a plan.” He flashes her a brilliant smile as the two decide to keep things light.

Spilling the Tea

Samantha (Najah Jackson) is dressed professionally and excited to join her cousins Kat (Colby Muhammad) and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) at Uptown, but as she approaches, she overhears Kat confiding in Chelsea about her sex life with Tomas (Alex Alegria). “The way Tomas can’t get enough of me these days,” she trills as Samantha’s eyes widen. Later, Samantha appears to have taken Kat’s words to heart as she makes out with her boyfriend Nathan (Brennen Suttle) on the couch. Unfortunately for her, her two dads, Smitty (Mike Manning) and Martin (Brandon Claybon), spoil the moment when they burst in and see the teens making out. “Samantha Richardson Smith!” Smitty yells.

Sister Act

Dani (Karla Mosley) and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) catch up over a meal at the country club, and Dani has a big reaction to what is happening in Nicole’s life. “You are too nice. Ted has given you the ultimate hall pass to do whatever you want with whomever you desire,” Dani says. Meanwhile, Nicole runs into Ted (Keith D. Robinson) at the hospital while she’s with his best pal and business partner, Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley), whom she is dating, and sparks start flying as Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) watches. “Always knew you had a crush on my wife,” Ted tells Carlton. “Truth hurts,” Carlton snaps back. Ted gets in his face as he says, “Not as much as my fist is going to hurt going upside your head.”
