B&B Loses A Forrester

Comments

Comic actor Fred Willard (ex-John, B&B) has died at the age of 86 of natural causes. “My father passed away very peacefully last night at the fantastic age of 86 years old,” his daughter Hope told People. “He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end. We loved him so very much.” Willard, perhaps best known for his TV work on FERNWOOD TONIGHT and MODERN FAMILY, and films like Best In Show and A Mighty Wind, played Eric’s (John McCook) brother, John, intermittently on B&B in 2014-15. John was Ivy’s (Ashleigh Brewer) father, and he briefly gave Charlie (Dick Christie) a run for his money for Pam’s (Alley Mills) affections. Willard won a Daytime Emmy for his work in 2015 for Outstanding Guest Performer. McCook tweeted, “Fred Willard was a brother to Eric Forrester on B&B.. I should have been so blessed. RIP.”
