“I know what you did,” said a horrified Rosanna, accusing Craig of switching the babies. When he denied it, Ro took his hand and asked him to prove that she can trust him. When he tried to stall on a blood test until tomorrow, she picked up the phone to call the hospital, and he slowly pushed her arm down, admitting: “He’s my son. And no one will take him from me.” When she pointed out that this despicable act was exactly like what he did to her with Cabot, never mind what he’s done to Gwen and Jennifer, he made a lot of excuses, and swore he didn’t plan it this way. She feigned being lightheaded, then ran out when he went to get her something to eat. Meanwhile, Emily and Paul discussed Jen’s loss, which, he pointed out, also included her husband. Em inadvertently tweaked Paul’s memory/regret about Ro by pointing out that one big setback shouldn’t destroy a marriage. But he quickly shook it off. He doesn’t want to think about the past anymore; he just wants to celebrate finding his way back to her, he said, carrying her to … the couch, of course. They were lying there naked later when the phone rang — it was Rosanna, calling from her car (with Craig on her tail). “I have to see you. I have to tell you the truth,” she said.
In the aftermath of her baby’s memorial, Gwen and Will broke it to Barbara that the baby wasn’t his. She was livid, especially when hearing that the baby had already been adopted, and didn’t believe them at first. “You know I would never give up my own child,” Will said, interestingly, to convince her. It was too much for Babs, who got all blinky and teary; she pulled it together fairly quickly for Will’s sake, but “losing” another baby clearly took a toll on her. Inside the church, Jennifer found the strength to stand up to Mike, who wanted to take her home with him. She declined, sadly explaining that she doesn’t want their love to turn into guilt and obligation, as Dusty, and soon Barbara, listened in. “You can’t go through this loss alone,” protested Mike. “She won’t have to,” interjected Dusty. Jennifer was so determined to make it a clean break that she actually agreed to (gasp!) move in with Barbara. “Thank you for loving my baby and me,” she said, pressing her cheek to Mike’s, then sending him on his pained way. After a hug from her mother (who went to get the car), Jen confided in Dusty. “I’m here for you and you can lean on me,” he said, as she broke down sobbing.
Meg and Holden had a heart to heart about their respective romantic problems. She urged him to move on, while he warned her that Dusty’s not the guy he used to be. “He’s into a lot of dangerous, illegal stuff,” clucked Holden, hilariously. Lily interrupted to break the news about Jen’s baby, so Meg assumed Dusty would need comfort and took off. Lily also made sure Lucinda was tucked in. “I hope she sleeps through the night,” she chirped, completing her infantilization of her cancer-stricken yet totally capable mother. Off his talk with Meg, Holden then suggested that if Keith makes her happy, she should go for it. Lily didn’t look like that green light was particularly welcome. Meanwhile, Meg spied on Dusty comforting Jen in an intimate embrace.
After Margo assured him that she could never, ever hate him, Casey admitted that he and Celia broke up because of Gwen’s baby, dude. He then stammered on confusingly (more so than usual) until Margo gave up on trying to pry any actual information out of him. She made her exit when Celia walked in, giving Casey another chance to plead his case. “Forgive me,” he mumbled. She did, but she’s done being his girlfriend. That’s when Gwen and Will arrived, and the Luckiest Little Montegan gave her new boyfriend a big, showy hug that really set Casey off. The girls stepped outside while Will and Casey faced off (shouldn’t it have been the other way around?). As Will tried to keep the argument from escalating to the point of violence, Casey pointed out that he stood up for Will when no one else would — which, to be fair, is really true. But that didn’t give him the right to demand Celia back. “She’s not a bag of chips, Casey. This is her decision to make,” argued Will, still trying to stay calm. But then Casey, clearly itching for a rumble, had to go and play the psycho murderer card, goading Will into a shoving match-turned-twirling, punching boy fight. Finally, dude!
