Are The Soaps Airing On Thanksgiving? Here’s The Schedule

Thanksgiving is this week so that means to expect your regularly scheduled soap opera programming to be interrupted, usually by the networks airing soaps. Here is a handy guide to which soaps are airing original episodes, which soaps are airing repeats and which soaps will be completely preempted in favor of alternative programming.
Bold and Beautiful
This is going to be an action-packed week Monday through Wednesday, as Ridge tries to navigate his best friend’s betrayal but then the show will be preempted by CBS sports coverage of the NFL on Thursday and college football on Friday. To get a preview of what’s going to happen this week, check out the show’s promo here.
Days of Our Lives
This is one of the blessings to be grateful for this holiday — because the soap is on a streaming platform, it will air brand new episodes all week. And what a week it will be! Have your box of tissues ready because this is the week that Salem will lose one of its legends when it’s discovered that Doug Williams has passed away. You can see a preview of it in this week’s video promo.
General Hospital
Ava’s trial begins this week and the stakes are also high for Ric, Kristina, Molly and Alexis while Lulu makes a daring move and Lucky tries to help Elizabeth. While the show has new episodes through Wednesday, the usual Thanksgiving episode will be held on a different day because an encore episode that originally aired on July 19 of this year will be what airs. You can expect to see Carly and Jason celebrating his freedom at the footbridge, Joss finds Trina’s turtle dove from Spencer that will bring tears to her eyes and James surprises Cody and Tracy when he shows up by himself at the stables. Also, Laura and Dante run into each other when both visit Lulu. On Friday, there won’t be any GH. Instead, the ABC will be showing sports. You can get a preview of the action on GH by watching this week’s promo here.
Young and Restless
It’s a big week in Genoa City as others learn that Jack and Diane’s breakup was a fake-out in time for the Abbott family Thanksgiving. Nate will get a little closer to Amy when he welcomes her into his home, Sharon will receive unexpected support from Adam and so much more. New episodes air through Wednesday for this CBS but then on Thursday, there will be coverage of the NFL while on Friday there will be college football. You can see the preview of this week’s action in the video promo here.
