Apprentice 3 Update #3

Comments

Five minutes into the Feb. 3 episode, Magna Corp.’s Verna decided the pressure was too much for her and became the first APPRENTICE candidate to quit. Exec producer Mark Burnett, who saw the same thing happen with SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS’ Osten, must be steamed.

Speaking of heat, coffee was the product on everyone’s mind this time, specifically developing a promotion for Nescafè Taster’s Choice.

The differences in the squads’ campaigns were eye-opening. Net Worth Project Manager Angie had a robust idea from the get-go: New Yorkers voted for hot vs. cold coffee drinks and one voter won 10 grand. The drowsy, Danny-commanded Magna developed no ideas for hours before pouring out a promotion without a theme (but an iPod prize). Michael — who basically goofed around and complained, knowing he was exempt — contributed a new word: mediocracy (a bland government?).

Danny apparently was hoping for a miracle when he brought the immune Michael to the boardroom, but Trump wasn’t about to break his own rules. Instead, the Donald noted the hipster didn’t live by the rules and sent him packing. Unfazed, Danny sang his way to his final taxi ride.

Kendra: This entrepreneur and talk radio show host may prove to be one of the most resourceful and dedicated players.
