ABC launched a soap-devoted cable network, SOAPnet, which began broadcast operations on January 20. The channel featured same-day rebroadcasts of AMC, GH, OLTL and PC alongside vintage episodes of ANOTHER WORLD, RYAN’S HOPE and prime-time sudsers, including FALCON CREST and KNOTS LANDING.
